  1. CM will require a new TM30 even if returning with a re-entry permit. Several of my friends returned from international holidays, with re-entry permits, and CM insisted on new TM30's being submitted, even though they were returning to their already registered permanent address in CM Province.
  2. not true Bob, I've had several friends return to Thailand after international holidays earlier this year and CM insisted on new TM30's being submitted, even though they returned to their permanent CM address.
  3. that's why it's better to use a pink ID card. No passport number involved.
  4. I don't fully agree with you DrJack re CM. I travel both inside and outside of CM Province on average twice a month, have my passport copied at the hotels I stay at and have NEVER been asked to submit a new TM30 when doing 90 day reports or extensions of stay, after my return to my main CM address in the 7 years I've lived in CM Province. The aspect I do agree with is that CM for whatever reason DO require a new TM30 when returning from international travel.
  5. Normal, because I limit the oil intake to 60mls per day.
  6. I was taking Olmetec, 20mg daily and my BP was being maintained around 135/65. However, since starting to drink 30mils of extra virgin olive oil each morning on an empty stomach and 30 mils at night, 30 minutes before bed, I've been able to come off the Olmetec with my GP's ok, and my BP is now 110/65, resting rate 60bpm.
  7. I've only ever used a spreadsheet. I set out my budget in it and also on a separate worksheet my deposits and withdrawals and have it balance back to my bank account. Very easy to do and NO cost involved.
  8. not quite. Most of Sydney's outer western suburbs is full of bogans.
  9. you must be in a very unique part of Northern Thailand because the part of Northern Thailand I'm in they burn everything, rice stubble, corn stubble, tree cuttings. Nobody is interested in ploughing in or composting. The ONLY thing that gets ploughed in is the BURNT rice or corn stubble.
  10. why would you want low carb bread? It's not the carbs that are the issue it's the starch in the bread. Having said that the latest research has shown that it's ok to eat bread, potatoes and rice provided you do the following. With the rice & spuds cook them first and then refrigerate for 24 hours. With bread, put straight in the freezer for 24 hours. Reheating the spuds & rice, or toasting the bread changes the starch to a healthy type of starch that burns fat instead of being stored as fat in it's original state.
  11. Doi Chang is good coffee. I buy my beans ( Arabica medium, Arabica Dark & Robusta dark) from my favourite local coffee shop and do my own blend. 150 baht per 250 gram packet.
  12. "With Australia the worst waiting until 67yo nowadays but must be residing in the Country 2 years beforehand to gain access to overseas payment." Not entirely correct. The need to be residing in country for 2 years to gain portability to an overseas account ONLY applies if you have resided OUTSIDE Australia for the 2 years preceding being eligible to receive the aged pension. If you've resided in Australia for the 2 years preceding age pension eligibility then as long as the working life requirement is met, the ONLY requirement is that you MUST be in Australia to receive your first pension payment. After that you give them your overseas bank details and the pension is remitted every 4 weeks.
  13. Nordo get your facts correct. Mong did NOT run off. They BOTH chose to close the shop and they reopened in Phrao, which is where I met them both and had Stu do some work on my MTB. Some time after that they separated and Stu closed the shop, but not until he had sold most of his stock.
  14. The waitress was correct in what she said. Eggs in an english breakfast are SUPPOSED to be runny/soft cooked YOU should have been more specific with your order.
  15. did he actually meet Putin or was it a body double?
  16. I've had severe back pain since 1978 (age 28 then) brought about by an injury whilst playing squash. In April this year I discovered DDP Yoga and after 4 weeks of sticking with the program, no more back pain. I'm now 6 months in and I'm stronger and my flexibility is better now than when I was 40.
  17. you should check out these videos on YouTube about Arthur Boorman and then check out DDP Yoga. They have a program called Chair to Standing where ALL the exercises are done seated. I'm 73 and at the beginning of this year I was struggling big time with screwed up knees, ankles, shoulders and a pinched sciatic nerve that just wouldn't release despite all the treatments and I had limited mobility & flexibility. In April I saw Arthur's video and thought if he can improve his health that much, and he was in a far worse situation physically than I was, then I can do this. So in April I started doing the Chair to Standing program and even after 4 weeks the improvements were quite noticeable. I've now moved on to the next program, Standing with Chair and the results thus far are quite amazing. My flexibility now, IMHO, is better than when I was 40. still some shoulder pain, but mainly when trying to do pushups. No more ankle pain, no more pinched sciatic nerve, and knee pain reduced from a 9 to a 1 AND my mobility is almost back to where it was when I was much younger. There are so many stories of people with weight issues, diabetes and physical issues (some videos are on YouTube or you can see their stories on the DDPY Facebook page. It doesn't matter if you say you can or you can't you're right. Give it a try. You got this.
  18. had a prostate biopsy done back in 2012. No anaesthetic used, 10 samples taken. The process was a bit uncomfortable at the time, but 1 hour later I was on the 1st tee for my usual Saturday round of golf. No side effects experienced. Unfortunately result came back as malignant, but has since been treated.
  19. we pay 450 baht for a 15kg tank.
  20. as I said it's been on Thai television news. Even the cop that killed himself has now been declared innocent of any charges.
  21. You're the one that's forgotten his actual history. Yes he was making comments about farangs but NOT the type you claim. i think you've got BJ mixed up with the bombastic, hostile, obnoxious, and ignorant statements about foreigners made by Anutin. BJ's were being directed at foreigners who were in the country and didn't meet the requirements to be here and who paid bribes either directly or indirectly via agents to IO's so they could get their extensions, and the changes he made were to eliminate that problem. Yes he was removed from his position, but that was after his car was shot up and anyone with 1/2 a brain knows that's because the changes he made impacted on the flow of brown envelope money up the chain of command. Then like now teh only thing he is guilty of is stepping on too many of the wrong piggies toes at the trough. He was NEVER an embarrassment to the Prayut administration, he WAS the ONLY shining light in that administration.
  22. it's everywhere in Thailand. If I'm not being called Mr it's leung (uncle). When I asked why Mr and not khun my wife said it's a respect thing. If a Thai calls you khun they are intentionally disrespecting you.
  23. I usually like reading your comments but for some obscure unsupported reasons you keep writing trash about BJ especially with regards to the IMPROVEMENTS he made to Immigration.
  24. the other things that are yet to appear in the english speaking press, but have been in the Thai press (mainly tv news), is that the cops at the party where the cop was shot were all part of the new top cops team. BJ has been removed from that investigation AND the cops that were arrested have all now been released from custody and are back on duty.
  25. not this time, his brother works for the one we cannot mention.
