    Crossing the frontier will probably take two hours. Might be a better idea to get off at the border, do your own paperwork, then cross into Lao and get a taxi or baht-bus. I've taken the bus from Bkk to Nong Khai a few times, takes about 12 hours as well.

I've wondered if it was sort of a board-game he was setting up, where xenophobic fascist states fight one another.     Have you noticed no one is discussing the possibility of DT getting the bum's rush at the convention next week? The poobahs of the Republican Party may decide they don't want to make history for installing the first felon president. Now wouldn't that get him to bust a blood vessel! What would follow would be bloodsport between the contenders.

    No one cares to discuss the possibility of who might replace the GOP nominee should there be strong disagreement at the convention.

    IMO DT's biggest personal mistake was that after Roy Cohn died he should have given up on politics. The infamous "where's my Roy Cohn?" question, well, for someone who has spent so much time in court he should have figured out by then that not all attorneys are like that.

    A few weeks after the demonstrations when LE caught up with one of the organizers/orators he cried, literally wept, saying that he didn't mean any of what he said, he was just saying those things. "Blood of patriots" indeed! Unfortunately so. Hey, this deep state that gets talked about, that now control SCOTUS, which political party does it favor? Ask the guy farthest to the right-hand side, his name is Harlan Crow.

    What's with these Brit former pop music personalities spouting bigotry with impunity? Last Pink Floyd album I had was Ummagumma. Their music became less interesting when I stopped doing hallucinogens.

    It seems the current crop of articles about him all point back to this RFK Jr.’s Family Doesn’t Want Him to Run. Even They May Not Know His Darkest Secrets It's as if he's a caricature of an eccentric rich guy from an old movie, but with a yachtsman's tan. Maybe it's time to watch Peter O'Toole in The Ruling Class again.

    None of the things like this are going to affect his polling numbers, this is all just media fodder, it pays the bills. And sells books.
