Official Gets 50 Years In Jail For Wrongful Use Of Official Sedan
OneMoreFarang replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Maybe he should complain about health problems. They will right away order his transport with a helicopter to a nice hospital with VIP treatment. -
I have to admit I never saw the movie, but I like the couple of short videos which I saw with her. ????

It's funny reading the recommendations here. Mostly I know one or two of the three movies. But seldom 3 out of 3.

I watched the movie after I heard the soundtrack. I love the soundtrack. The movie is ok, but I think all in all it doesn't make much sense (even if we would assume the technology is accurate).

Probably he replayed that scene a couple of time just to be sure. ????

Thai man attacked, forced to settle loan shark score for ex-employee
OneMoreFarang replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Obviously soon that will not happen anymore. As we know, the new government is now fighting local influential people who do such things. Soon all the bad guys will be in jail. Or maybe not? Is it just elimination of the competition? Loan sharks exist in Thailand everywhere. Everybody knows them and lots of people know who the rich people in the background are. And they get away with what they do because they are well integrated with the authorities. TiT. -
Thailand remains neutral on Israeli-Palestine conflict
OneMoreFarang replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News Headlines
It's interesting to read all the comments here. Did Israelis and the Palestinians always live happily together in the last decades? Or is there a long history or violence and oppression? A does something bad and B reacts. And because of that reaction of B, A reacts again. And then B reacts again, and then A, B, A, B over years and decades. And then, after a while, both sides have lots of reasons to point out the other side and blame them. Who is right? Listen to some experts and it's obvious that A is right, and B is wrong. Listen to other experts and it's the other way around. Should Thailand really pick one side? Why? IMHO Thailand condemning violence is a good point. Why should they get involved in a war which has only losers? -

That is well known since many years. And some people like to ignore it since many years.

A transformer works with AC. When you connect AC to a transformer on one side, and nothing on the other side, then almost no current flows. If you connect DC to a transformer, then a lot of current flows. If you would connect mains to the rectifier and the output to that transformer then when you are lucky the breaker disconnects or the transformer burns very fast a "hole" in the wire and that disconnects it. Worst case it makes boom and you have a big problem. You need a rectifier for after the transformer and that needs specs like maybe 50V and maybe a few Amps. I wrote above because if you do it wrong, then that is dangerous. Life threatening dangerous. Like little kids playing with fire. Don't do it!

Rethinking Thailand’s Defamation Law
OneMoreFarang replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
And is there any political will to change those laws? Or is it just the author of this article who rethinks it?- 31 replies

And if you think that the output of a 24V transformer after the rectification is 24V then think again - or google it.

Anybody who asks that question should not play around with main voltage. Don't do it! You will live longer.

If you spent a few minutes on this form it should be easy to find a couple of threads about the same question. The answer is always the same: NO!

I wonder how this looked before it was (last) rented out. Some time ago I looked at apartments for rent and I was surprised in what kind of bad condition some people tried to rent out their apartments. I didn't move into any of the damaged places. But I wonder which kind of people move in there and how does the story continue? Is it likely that people will try to make the best out of it? Or do they rent a bad place and then don't care and make it worse? And some landlords are overseas and never see their own unit(s). Maybe they have a manager who is supposed to take care, but maybe that doesn't happen.
