No, he was not showing the kindness of the Thai fruit seller. He published a video to make money. Imagine the Thai fruit seller would have told him to f@# o$#%, together with his camera team. Do you think he would have just deleted that? Or would he still have shown it to get some clicks? The Thai fruit seller is just an object to make money for this TikTokker.

Yes, times have changed. I noticed that. And I am not suggesting TikTok should be banned or anything like that. If people want to spend their time with that, please, do it. And if some people make a lot of money on TikTok because millions of people watch what they are doing, ok, I accept that. But obviously it's also up to me what I like and what I don't like. Some videos are funny or informative, fine. Some are just stupid. I like some and I don't like others. And if I feel like telling the world, or in this case the AseanNow members what I don't like then that is part of that whole game.

You can like whatever you want to like. Go ahead, be happy and like and subscribe to everything you want. TikTok idiots like this guy exist because people like you support them. Be proud of yourself!

Ok, let's try this again: Why did the Aussie TikTok guy do what he did? Did he do it because he was hungry? No Did he do it because he wanted to see how this food vendor would react? Maybe Did he do it so that he can publish that video and make money with it. 100% sure - otherwise he wouldn't have published that video. From time to time, I also give money or goods to people in need. I don't play silly games with them. I don't take pictures or videos of my generous behavior so that I can post it somewhere to show what a good guy I am. If anybody feels the need to show on the internet what a good person he or she is, then maybe they should think again. And if people make money from views on the internet with such video, then they should think even harder if that is decent behavior.

Anybody who paid attention in Thailand would not be surprised at all that the food vendor gave a supposedly hungry man food without payment. I am pretty sure that is what most food in Thailand vendors would do.

I would definitely avoid any party with TikTok idiots, influencers, and such crowd. If you want to play the idiot in a video, then please go ahead. But don't expect only because you like it everybody likes it.

I guess next someone will make a NFT collection out of it and try to sell it for millions.

How would you feel if some rich guy would do something like that with you? And obviously he films it and publishes it to make money. If he would want to support people, he could have bought fruit and give the vendor some tip - without running camera.

I have to admit I didn't follow this development. But who ever thought that it is a good idea to sell weed on the street, but cigarettes must be hidden in shops. In Sukhumvit Soi 11 are at least 5 cars who park there and (try to) sell it. I am sure within 500m distance are at least 10 more sellers. All in the open, advertising. What a stupid idea! In principle I think it is a good idea to legalize drugs. As bad as it is, it is the smaller evil. But don't promote it!

There is a difference between knowing something, or maybe even a lot, about your bike, and being able to do anything on your bike. A long time ago I had a garage with lots of tools. Now, not anymore. And then there is the fact that some of us are busy, and we just want somebody competent taking care of our bike(s).

I did exactly that with a previous service center. I printed the list from the service book. When I showed them the list, they looked at it like they never saw it before. So the idea that they look at in the manual what they have to do at a specific service interval seems to be a foreign concept to them. I wonder how the international KTM headquarter authorizes such dealers and distributors. And it seems it's not just KTM.

In condominiums each unit gets a bill from the electricity company. When I rented a condominium, I received the bill with the name of the owner of "my" unit in my mailbox and I paid that. I don't know if this is standard procedure or if it is also possible that if you rent that the owner pays x but asks you to pay x + a.

Just a short update: Today they called me to answer my questions. I told them I will visit them to talk about it in person - 10min away from home. They showed me the problems and I agree the fork seals have to be fixed and the other parts replaced. The assured me the quoted parts are all original KTM. That's good enough for me and I told them to proceed. I guess I would be able to get some of this cheaper somewhere else. But I am happy to have now one shop where I bring my bike and they take care of it. I live in a condominium, and I don't have a place to work by myself on my bike like decades ago "back home". Let's look if they call me tomorrow and tell me all is done. This is obviously still not perfect, but maybe as good as it gets in Thailand.

I am pretty sure you can leave. But maybe you can't come in again the way you want. So it seems the immigration officer did you a favor by telling you that before you left. And after a couple of years in Thailand you should know that you shouldn't expect any logic. The regulations are the regulations. Don't think about why. There is no why.

There is a very easy solution to such a problem: Drive slowly! There is no such thing as a slow-moving catastrophic car chase.

And when "the left" in the USA insist on putting all minorities everywhere, independent of their qualifications, then they shouldn't be surprised when people vote for the right - because they don't have these stupid ideas. Personally, I always thought of myself as center left. But when I see these idiots with those stupid ideas that makes me rethink my affiliation with the left.
