British tourist left shocked after ‘Wild West’ amid rolling brawl among club hostesses and dancers
It also shouldn't happen that customers don't pay and misbehave. I have to admit I don't mind that in Thailand it is well known that if you misbehave there will be consequences, right now, and not a year later in a court of law. Most people know that and behave. Win/win for all people who don't like trouble.

You-tube Premium or death?
But there is the problem that more and more YouTubers include advertisement videos within their videos. There is no skip button. The good news is that one can forward to the place after the advertisement, but sometimes, especially with long videos, that is difficult. Summary: If you don't want to see ads then you have to click here or there. You can't completely avoid them.

British tourist left shocked after ‘Wild West’ amid rolling brawl among club hostesses and dancers
I met a couple of my customers, owners and managers of companies, in bars, drinking beer and sometimes playing with the girls. Who is or isn't a low life has little to do with their social status. If you know the girls well, ask them which customers are a-holes. It might be people who you don't expect it from.

Condo has blocked off roof top swimming pool on NYE for private party
Who is renting out that place? Who receives the money and who receives a commission? I would be surprised if anybody authorized whoever did that to do that. If you are serious about it, ask questions, record the answers, and inform the committee. And let them know that you will follow up with a lawyer to check if what they do is legal.

Thailand Launches Policy to Target Suspected Illegal Influential Figures Nationwide
If they would be serious about this, then they first would have to create a long list of all influential people in Thailand. That list will obviously include high ranking police officers, military, politicians and businesspeople. They are all influential - by definition. And after they have that list then they need criteria when are influential people illegally influential. I.e. if they regularly commit crimes, including corruption, extortion, murder and others. And of course, this should be independent of political affiliations. Now, who in Thailand is qualified to do this work to sort who of the influential people is criminal? In theory the police should be qualified for this. But this is Thailand, and we all know that the police are part of the problem and not so much part of the solution. Summary: Mission impossible! Currently it can't possibly happen in a just way in Thailand.

Srettha Working On Bringing Yingluck Back Home
In other words: they ruled that she had a lot to do with the corruption in the rice scam. Sounds about right. But then, some people will argue that she had no idea what she was doing, and she just followed the instructions from her brother.

Where to get a Non-B abroad to work for Thai LTD.
You should be able to do that in many Thai embassies. It seems all of them have their own procedures. Some have detailed information, others not. You can google the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh. They have detailed information what you need to apply for a Non-B visa. I suggest prepare the documents together with someone from the company in which you will work. There are lots of documents...

British tourist left shocked after ‘Wild West’ amid rolling brawl among club hostesses and dancers
I met my gf in a gogo bar. We visited her friends in other bars or just had some drinks. It's no problem. It can be a problem if the "gf" tries to pick up other customers. That is obviously something she shouldn't do. But then, she should know that.

British tourist left shocked after ‘Wild West’ amid rolling brawl among club hostesses and dancers
After another article like this I started a couple of months ago kind of survey thread in this forum to find out how many of the farangs who live in Thailand were ever attacked without any reason. There were many replies and (almost?) everybody replied that they never got into any unprovoked trouble in Thailand. That's the same with me. I visited many bars in many locations many times and I never had a situation where one or more Thais started a fight without a reason. Normally it just doesn't happen if you don't provoke them. And if you provoke them then maybe learn from your mistakes and don't do it again.

British tourist left shocked after ‘Wild West’ amid rolling brawl among club hostesses and dancers
Really? How often was anybody triggered by you or your friends? IMHO there is always a reason why these things happen. And normally there are warning signs before anything happens. And there are moments to say I am sorry and walk away. But of course, some people think they can do whatever they want, and nothing will happen. Yeah, sure, just try it.

Srettha Working On Bringing Yingluck Back Home
Will she return all that money from the corrupt rice scam? Or will she run around free in Thailand in luxury without any punishment? And don't forget to put her in jail for fleeing the country to avoid jail.

HIV/AIDS. Do you take precations? PrEP. Condom. Abstain.
I just tried ChatGPT on this site, just for you. Thaivisa ChatGPT - Thailand News, Travel & Forum - ASEAN NOW Question: How high is the chance for a male person to get HIV infected by a female by having vaginal sex? Answer: The risk of HIV transmission during vaginal sex depends on several factors, including the HIV status of the individuals involved, the presence of any genital sores or ulcers, the use of condoms or other forms of protection, and the viral load of the infected partner. Generally, the risk of HIV transmission to a male during a single act of unprotected vaginal sex with an HIV-positive female partner is relatively low, but not zero. It is estimated that the risk per act is approximately 0.04% (about 4 in 10,000). However, it is important to note that repeated or consistent unprotected vaginal sex can increase the risk over time. To reduce the risk of HIV transmission, it is recommended to use condoms consistently and correctly, and for those at higher risk, to consider additional preventive measures such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). It is always advisable to consult healthcare professionals for personalized advice and information.

Bob Smith crashes the site.
But maybe with quality there would be more quality members over time. I am still here because I am too lazy to look for an alternative. But I am pretty sure if I would just arrive in this forum I wouldn't stay.

I ignore threads from both. But they still show up on the right side in the list. I wish that (I guess for me personalized) list would filter out threads from people who are on my ignore list.

Bob Smith crashes the site.
Maybe I start one thread while he started 20. But at least I had a reason for starting my thread which was not only: I want to post something new now, what should I do. No idea. So just do anything. Personally I prefer a forum with only 5 interesting threads compared to one with 100 useless threads.

The only way to salvation! Confess your motorbike riding sins!
Maybe about 10 years ago the police often stopped bikes going from Sukhumvit to Rama 4. They stopped bikes for not riding on the left lane. I think in that area there are 4 lanes in each direction and the first lane was always half full of parked cars. When I approached the police from far away, I rode with my bike on the most left lane relatively slowly in a high gear. When they saw me coming and ignored me because I was driving according to the rules then maybe 50m before I met the police, I shifted down to the first gear, accelerated to 14,500 RPM and 100km/h and passed the police on my way to escape. I really liked that. In the other direction I came down from the elevated bridge over Rama 4. I made sure I was fast, maybe 150km/h and on the right lane. Also there the police tried to stop everybody who was not riding on the left lane. But when they spotted me, it was already too late for them to do anything. They never even tried to follow me. A friend, who rides a lot longer in Thailand, explained it to me in the way that the police want money. Chasing someone and maybe collecting money takes time. Just waiting on the side of the street for riders who stop and collect money from many of them is much easier. Now I am a little older and don't have a sport bike anymore and I don't do that anymore.
