  1. Because I am interested in an answer to my question. More traffic, the firsts answer, is definitely a possibility. But sometimes there are stupid trends on the internet, which I don't know about. Like who posts the most boring posts or something like that. Win a million dollars or whatever.
  2. There was one member who started all the time new threads. And now it seems we have another one. What's the point? Is there some competition of who starts the most threads? Is there any money to make doing that? Over the years I also have a lot of posts. Personally, I answer other people's questions or comment on funny threads, etc. Sometimes I ask a question. I think that is what many of us do. And then there are these few members who post 10 times as much. Why?
  3. Can you delete it from your audiobook app? It is possible that the file has not the original filename anymore. So maybe you don't see it because it has a different name.
  4. That doesn't necessary mean that the file(s) still exist. If you delete a file in that Audiobook app then the entry in the app will be deleted and (maybe, possibly) also the actual file will be deleted. If you delete the file in Explorer or any other app then maybe the Audiobook app still shows the entry even if the file is deleted. Similar with picture apps. A long time ago I had a little incident with "deleted files". A friend wanted to give his old notebook to his new girlfriend. He asked me to delete all old files, especially pictures from his ex. I deleted all the files. The pictures didn't exist anymore. But when he had another look at the computer, and he opened his picture app, he still saw for a moment all those old thumbnails from the pictures which were already deleted. Be aware of the difference...
  5. Personally I post something in The Lounge (instead of the Community Pub) if I want to see comments from people who are already longer in Thailand and not newbies. I.e. if I would like to know if it's ok to have two regular darlings in one bar, then I would ask is The Lounge and not the Community Pub. Just an example.
  6. I am working on the electrical installation in my new condominium. I use VAF-G cable, mostly 1.5 and 2.5 sqmm. Until now I bought cable from BBC and YAZAKI. Are there any substantial differences between brands? Which are the best and which should be avoided? And it seems all the available VAF-G cables are "flat". From long time ago I am used to round cables. Are there any disadvantages to flat cables?
  7. Thanks for confirming the point of this thread. Here is your big manly woman from Australia
  8. IMHO many humans are fast to think that every [insert group] are like [insert whatever]. I.e. Americans are stupid, Nigerians are scammers, Chinese are loud, Africans (everybody in the whole continent) are underdeveloped, Muslims are radicals, the list goes on and on. And in that way farangs don't want ice - because if a Thai saw 3 farangs who behave like X that means all farangs behave like X. They don't like spicy food, they have too much money, they all love dark and small girls, etc. I think behavior like that is normal all over the word. Some of us, including Thais, keep an open enough mind to know that not everyone is the same.
  9. There are also lots of others who are not drunk and also don't make any sense.
  10. To be able to answer the question: "What % of farangs in Thailand are worth talking to?" we need to know enough farangs. And/or we need to know accurate statistics. How many farangs in Thailand do I "know"? I don't know, but maybe 100, probably more if I count people who I see sitting in restaurants, etc. With how many of them did I communicate enough to be able to answer if they are worth talking to? I don't even know 0.1% of farangs in Thailand. And almost all of the farangs who I know live in central Bangkok. How should I, or anybody else in a similar situation, be able to answer above question with any accuracy?
  11. Did you pay the lawyer to keep that document for you? If you just hired the lawyer to prepare it, then I guess it's not his job to "keep it". I don't imagine a file on a computer system is good enough. So basically, if you didn't hire the lawyer to keep it, then I guess you can assume he doesn't have your will.
  12. Often a bank statement or electricity bill does the job.
  13. You can find almost anything here: https://www.onestockhome.com/en And then there are of course lots of other places like: THAI WATSADU | ไทวัสดุ ครบเรื่องบ้าน ถูกและดี etc.
  14. Really? IMHO the Thai police know a lot about what is going on. But then the big question is if they use that information to arrest the bad guys, or if the use the information to talk to the bad guys and collect commissions for somehow not seeing them. TiT.
  15. What are the alternatives? How long do you want to think about if you should pay 10B, nothing, maybe 5B or whatever. Or maybe go to the tourist police and complain.
  16. Yes, eventually. But it might be that he makes initially a lot of squeaking noise. But then again, that would be a great video for TikTok.
  17. Does it matter? This was not a split-second reaction. The attack on the police officer goes on for over a minute. Anybody with a working brain would have realized latest after a few seconds that this is a very stupid idea.
  18. Please Bob, go out there and do the same. Make sure you ask your wife to make a video and publish it. That would solve many problems and make many people happy. ????
  19. Why Samui? Why an island? Long time ago when I decided to live in Thailand I also thought about Samui. Exotic island, beach, all nice and quiet. And then I looked at reality: Everything is more expensive: Transport, entertainment, hospital, etc. And if you are seriously sick then you need medical transport to Bangkok. And then there are all those tourist, many of them forget on which side of the road they are supposed to be. If you still want to go there, then try at least a few months before you make expensive decisions.
  20. There is hope.
  21. Now what could this be about? Is it maybe related to the name Shinawatra? I want my daddy back in Thailand. I don't know what to do without him. And I wouldn't do this stupid job if it wouldn't be because of him.
  22. They turn them in whatever direction they are paid to turn them.
  23. It won't take 4 years for PT and their coalition to self-destroy.
