  1. Imagine you are a man in Pattaya and you want to have some fun. And what do you do? Ride motorcycles together with other men in Pattaya. Losers!
  2. Is is and always was Thaksin's party. There is no way to take Thaksin out of it. If politicians want to make sure that nobody thinks they are connected to Thaksin then they should stay away from that party. But obviously lots of Thai politicians still want to be friends with the fugitive criminal.
  3. There was a time when I would have laughed and say "impossible". That time has passed...
  4. Some terms are just used by people because they are used by many other people. I.e. if I talk to Thai people about "my farang friend" they will have an idea about (part of that) person. If I would say he is a westerner or an American or a Dutch guy or a white guy that would be more complicated. That's why I call a farang a farang. And then there is obviously the question how often people use a term. I.e. recently I wanted to talk to a black American guy about racism. I see him from time to time and we are friendly but he is not "my friend". I was not sure if I could/should use the term "black guy" because other words were used for many years until someone decided that now that word is racist and can't be used anymore. All that PC <deleted> makes thinks unnecessary complicated. OneMoreFarang
  5. It angers me that now it's impossible to not see one day of news without gender this and gender that "news". Is that really so important? How many people are affected by this? 1% Maybe 3%? Imagine all those activists and politicians would use all that time for important things like how to make life better for all of us and not just the 1% who shout loudest?
  6. Basically it's all the same: exchanging body fluids ????
  7. Maybe have a look here: https://th.rs-online.com/web/c/?searchTerm=din That shop is relative expensive but they have some things others don't have. And they have a reasonable good filter function.
  8. Somehow I still have hope that one day Thais will vote for smart and not so corrupt people like Abhisit. Please don't laugh, it must be one of those little boy "the world will get better" syndromes.
  9. It would be interesting to know how many people had all the legal requirements and just wanted to have somebody who helped them to get it done and how many had i.e. no money in the bank, etc. If all legal requirement were fulfilled then I am sure everything will be sorted out. In the other cases - maybe not so much, or only after paying a big "fine".
  10. Do you touch any girls in those bars? Do you think anybody else touched them before? What is a higher risk?
  11. I fully agree A long time ago Yingluck said that she is not interested in politics. And then her big brother convinced her to run for PM - with no relevant experience. She was elected and she got her chance. She could have worked for the people. But then she showed that her main interest was to whitewash her brother. The rest is history. If another Shinawatra will be elected we can be pretty sure history will repeat itself. Maybe she should think about what a wonderful comfortable super rich life she could have ...
  12. One of the crypto fanboys in this forum compared it with gold. Maybe the robber misunderstood that somehow.
  13. The short summary is: wear a mask. Because basically all Thais wear a mask and they will look at you like an alien if you don't do it. Today I was in a good hotel. At the entrance I ask the security guard, who was wearing a mask, if I need a mask. He told me: no. A minute later I used the lift. The lift stopped one floor up and I heard the guy on that floor: No, don't go in there, the guy has no mask...
  14. Something like this. But normally there is only one coffee cup and that is empty since an hour.
  15. That is definitely not a nice job... Sometimes when I see such a group I go to the next 7/11 and buy them some soft drinks. It's not much but I think they should see that "the public" appreciates their work.
  16. I was writing comments over there some time ago. I don't know if that changed, but when I was still active it took hours before post were published. And if I was up early and commented maybe at 6am then it was never published. It seems all comments before a certain time were just deleted. And then obviously the same posters again and again and again and no ignore-button. I gave up with them.
  17. You mean you don't see any reason. I am sure an expert could tell you at least 100 possible reasons.
  18. Would you take a 14 year old girl to Tiffany? She might get confused.
  19. I hope for the best. (just a sample, I wouldn't publish pictures of my favorite girls)
  20. Today was the first time when I walked in my building without mask - since the beginning of Covid. One woman behind the counter told me: This is the first time I see your face. She works there since maybe a year but obviously until now she only saw me with mask. That reminds me of two "new" cute waitresses in my regular restaurants. I never saw them without mask. Until now I think they look very nice. Let's look how they look without mask. Meeting new people and all that.
  21. Now I am even more confused. I thought recently they fired all those corrupt cops. Are there more of them?
  22. If you have a health insurance then contact them. Likely they will tell you where to go.
  23. I live on lower Sukhumvit and visited a couple of them. No problem. I guess best is if you go in a typical tourist area like lower Sukhumvit. They are more likely to speak English and they are more likely to be used to what farangs want. I.e. they have several forms in two versions, Thai or English.
