I have to admit I had one huge advantage in my first couple of years in Thailand. I had very little money. I couldn't give any girls much money or expensive gifts because I couldn't afford to do that. I guess if I would have had more money, then my learning experience would have cost a lot more. And I don't like the whole concept of online dating. The chemistry which we all feel or not feel within minutes with another person happens only in real life. Even if I would find the in theory perfect girl for me online it would mean little until I meet her. And maybe there is this vibe, or maybe not. And if it is not there then that's it. The same happens in bars. Maybe there are some absolutely gorgeous girls on stage. And if I buy them a drink and talk to them there is just no spark. Ok, fine, let's move on. Likely there is another girl who is maybe not the top of the lineup but still pretty nice with the right chemistry.

Thanks for your inside knowledge. I was already surprised and a little annoyed that he didn't ask me for my personal opinion. Or he could have posted a picture or her here in the forum and ask how much I and others would spend for her. This is a strange world.

Some time ago when I ordered my ACs I had to decide if I just trust a company to recommend something or how should I buy. I looked for online calculators. Most of them are simple, can they really be precise? And should we trust an AC company when they profit from selling bigger, more expensive ACs? Then I looked some more, and I found a little more complicated calculators which included the size in sqm of the windows and the orientation to the sun of those windows. Ok, that's better. But what I never found was any calculator with temperatures. What does it mean to have the correct size of an AC? Does it mean that that AC is able to cool down the room to maybe 24 degrees Celsius inside the room when it is outside 30 degrees? How about if I want a winter party and I want inside 18 degrees? And how about I want that in the worst part of the year with outside 40 degrees? I never found a calculator which gave me the choice of selecting my desired room temperature. And I never saw a calculator which asked me if I expect that the AC needs 5min or 30min to reach that desired temperature. So it seems all those online calculators are not very precise. My personal summary: Think how cold you want it and how fast. If you want it real fast real cold, then buy the max size model which any calculator suggests. And if you don't really care about too cold too fast then buy the minimum size recommended somewhere. And be aware there is something like a too big AC. So don't just buy the biggest available.

What would he need to show she did something illegal? I guess he would need a signed document from her that he will buy a house for her and she in return will love him and have sex with him for the rest of her life or something like that. Maybe she liked him at the beginning. What guarantee did he every have? If she told him or wrote to him: "Peter, I will love you forever", is that good enough? In that case there wouldn't be any divorce anywhere with all those people who swore to love each other for the rest of their lives. I have to admit once I also bought something for a girl who I fancied and who gave me the idea that we might stay together and be happy ever after. But we didn't stay happy ever after. So I had to learn that the phone which I bought for 3000B was a lost investment. Though times!

I think about what kind of superwoman would be able to convince me that I sell my house so that she can build a house so I can live with her - after I met her on a dating app. I don't think such a woman exists in this world.

Lots of influencer don't have to pay and the write "spectacular reviews". What a surprise... Sometimes I see them "at work". Hours of probably thousands of pictures and the food is getting cold and they anyhow don't have time to eat it making all that content. Amazing, not just Thailand.

What an amazing story. I wonder if that happens in average 10 or 100 times a day in Thailand.

To be fair, HP, and other brands have often different lines of product. Business products with good long-time support and cheap consumer products. Be aware of what you buy.

To be fair, sometimes the supplier drivers and software add functionality. I.e. today I visited a customer with a HP scanner. With the Windows 11 internal software "Scan" it worked. But the HP software, downloaded from HP, added lots of functions. Obviously not everybody needs lot of extra functions. But if you are looking for "extras", the look at the manufacturer website first.

If you use Windows then try Windows Update, possibly there will be a free driver from Microsoft. And you can download any drivers for HP products from HP - all free of charge. Just start with HP.com

From my recent experience I agree with Daikin and 18k should do the job.

I remember the time when many of us thought it can't get worse than George W Bush. We were so wrong... Obviously I don't know where Thai politics will go. But if Thaksin ('s daughter) will be in charge then it is almost sure that there will be mayhem. At least for me this mean anybody else is probably better.

Sometimes I look at the bad choices in Thailand and I wonder why people vote for them. And then I look at this so-called 1st world country, the leader of the world, the USA. Are those really the best people in that whole country you could find to lead the country? And obviously it's all about money. It seems in Thailand and in the USA the politicians have different ways to get money. But the goal is the same: MONEY.
