You could have gone out and ask them. Maybe they would have told you. But then, maybe not. Do you really think we can tell you accurately what happened there? Something happened.

As far as I know DHL, and probably others, do all that for you. I had once a delivery for 4000 USD, I had to sign one or two forms, but I never had to go to customs. I suggest send DHL an email and ask them. I did this before above delivery, and I was surprised about their detailed answer.

Lenovo makes a lot of computers. ThinkPads are very good. The rest not so much.

I suggest look at it in a shop - if you have the opportunity. Type a few sentences and look how you like the keyboard. Most new notebooks have enough performance for everyday usage (except games). The quality and feel of the keyboard and mousepad makes a difference. If you are on a budget look if you can get a 2nd hand ThinkPad. They are mostly the best you can buy.

Pretty fun? So, how often did you repeat this or similar fun trips on a scooter? Yes, the brakes and suspension don't die within an 11-hour trip. The question is how comfortable is such a suspension after an hour or two or ten? -
Thai woman spills beans on corrupt cop’s love-linked traffic fines

I never paid more than 200B on the roadside. Mostly 100B did the job. -

It is not my intention to play that who has the bigger bike game. It doesn't make sense. My comments and questions were about: Which bike is suitable for which task? My 390 is perfect for the city. I could use it to ride 500km in one day, but I wouldn't. There are obviously uses for little scooters or big sport bikes and choppers. But they are different. But then, you know that already. -

Why would anybody pay a police fine into a personal bank account? It doesn't make any sense. And the police officer must be also mentally challenged. Receiving bribes per traceable bank transfers. What a glorious idea.- 26 replies

I didn't start with those manly attributes. I get your point. There is a wide range of bikes available between a 110cc scooter and a big Harley. I ride a KTM Duke 390 most of the time in the middle of Bangkok. It's basically the frame of a 125cc KTM bike with a 390cc engine, somewhere >40HP. And it has good suspension and good brakes. I didn't buy a bigger bike because in the middle of Bangkok there wouldn't be any advantage. And I didn't buy a little scooter because the bad brakes, suspension, etc. -

Clinton? Is that not that woman who lost against the worst GOP candidate ever? Maybe she should crawl into a basement somewhere and hope nobody will remember her. -

Which mission? a) Shopping around the corner? b) Or a trip of several hundred kilometers? a) Yes b) No. Only if the alternative is walking. Decent brakes and suspension are just not possible for cheap scooters. And (almost) nobody would buy an expensive 1xx cc scooter. -

Having the choice of your two bikes, I would use the CRF for those trails. I could also use my Duke 390, but I would change my tires from street to enduro tires first. Or I would buy a small dirt bike if I would live in that area. -

Please have a look at the posts above your post. You will see that many other members describe their life with bigger bikes. And the last post above yours is a story with the last bike being a "BMW C600 (It's actually a 650 twin) maxi scooter". For me the summary of all those posts is: when I wasn't old, I liked big bikes. Now I am old I ride a scooter. That's obviously ok. I understand that old men do that. Which answers my question from above. -

Ok, yes, I understand that park. Shopping around the corner. But the original post also incudes something like this: Why do that on a scooted when can afford to do it on a real bike? -

Yes, you/we don't need 650cc, I understand that part. But it's still nice to have decent brakes, decent suspension, etc. And as far as I see scooters don't have any of that. -
I understand that part. He has to be present but is not allowed to say or so what he wants to. So, the best way for him to spend that time it to sleep.
