Wow, what a difference! Just had the professionals here, cleaned everything with high pressure hose, now it's downright chilly!

So quick to judge and with nothing to back it up. I've lived on the Darkside of Pats for 14 years, never had a problem, never had a break in. 99% of the people who live in this area are Thai, are they the kind of people you try and avoid?

There's a drain from the compressor that takes the excess water from the air, I don't see much water coming out, could this be blocked?

I guess if I wanted the nightmare of contracting to build my own house a lot of those things could be specified, but like most people I bought a newly constructed house, as is, and generally speaking it's been a pretty sound house, but it has it's limitations.

Everything is built to a price. You won't get double brick and good insulation in a 4 million baht house. Ten months of the year I don't have a problem with the heat, but this year seems especially hot.

Can anyone recommend a reliable aircon service company or individual to come and clean my aircon in Pattaya.

I'm colour blind and have had the same problem with renewals, but always been lucky and had a falang to whisper the colours to me. However, my last renewal about 6 months ago I passed easily when they used the "traffic light" method. Only 3 colours to distinguish, red, green and yellow, as opposed to when they had the big circle made up of small coloured dots. This was in Pattaya.

Thought the final was a bit of a fizzer though. -
Solar and wind have their downsides as well. There's a huge problem in finding ways to recycle wind turbines and solar panels. No such thing as a free lunch.

I have the aircon set at 27 but the clock that also shows temp is showing 33 in the bedroom. Have two fans running as well.

I keep all the curtains drawn in the bedroom to try and insulate as much as possible but the aircon is struggling to reduce the temp. by much. The aircon motor is getting full sun for a lot of the day, so would it help to put some kind of shade over it? It's a typical Thai built house, thin brick walls, so it heats up pretty easily.

I bought a couple of cheap no-name phones from Lazada, around 1500 baht each that have replaceable batteries. Problem is when one of the batteries failed I couldn't find a replacement battery anywhere, so one phone is now useless.
