The easier way is to ban smoking in the hospital and it’s grounds or pay a 10,000 baht on the spot fine if caught this is the way most of the world has gone you can’t smoke in public places but as normal Thailand is years behind

I keep very little in mine just transfer what I need from wise and when it arrives it’s withdrawn in days to pay all my bills and what’s left is in my wallet

Looks like it’s time to move on to a more welcoming country when I arrived here 19 years ago the money I had I knew one day I could loose but that money I quadrupled having purchased and sold properties so I cannot complain . The beachfront property I have can earn me a very good return or I will just board it up for a couple of years . I’ve always fancied living in the Philippines where I can contribute to their economy ! Having said all that I’m a UK taxpayer of which Thailand has a long standing agreement but it’s always good to be prepared if the S * * * hits the fan ! South Korea is a beautiful country but having experienced a winter there it’s crossed off my list I’ve always fancied Langkawi as well but in the Philippines at least my OAP will no longer be frozen !

Everytime you transfer money from wise they confirm by email how much and which account the funds went to I can’t see why you couldn’t print them off and present it to immigration !

Having had several different Thai Banks I gave K Bank a try that was three years ago if I send monies from my wise account to K it’s there in a matter of minutes I recently purchased a car in Bangkok for over a million + bart there were no charges and the money was with the Toyota dealership within minute the only thing I had to do was to upgrade my minimum spend on my mobile once transferred I reduced it back to 5,000 baht per day as far as I’m concerned it’s the best bank in Thailand I think I pay 200 baht a year and every transfer I do is confirmed to my mobile within seconds as I now tend to use QR code for 99% of transactions

If you have all the paperwork and original bill of sale sell it privately why bother with a dealer they’ll only give you a good deal if you want to purchase an upgrade from them go to the website Watchfinder a very reliable company and you can get a valuation on line

In truth a lot of immigration officers prefer farangs to use agents as it’s a lot easier and less hassle I use a reputable agent mainly because I am lazy life is to short to be wasting my time at an immigration office and then being told to come back a week later , at 73 time is precious for me as I’m nearing the top of the steps of the stairway to heaven so I’m more than happy to pay a little extra for all the work to be done on my behalf
