    I'm not sure if they still do it as I never use them now, but prior to Covid the taxis here in Samui used to add a 100 baht service charge. They refuse to use the meter. In all my years both coming here and living here, I have never managed to get a taxi to use the meter.

    Tip them for taking a short cut? Shouldn't they be trying to take the shortest route to a destination? They probably mean, "We will get extra money out of you one way or another. A circuitous route to run up the meter, or you pay us a tip.."

    i think you can apply for a card that will give discount for entry. Say THB180 instead of THB200. Major Cinemas certainly do one.

    I used this dentist before for dental work and was very happy with their work.. Not implants I might add, but they do them. On their website, you can see the different dentists training and choose accordingly. They also show prices on their website. https://www.thantakit.com

    My GF is a stickler for checking bills. Especially restaurants. I've been surprised at the number of times she has spotted an error, wrong food ,drink etc., added to bill.
