After the way that China has been treating it's citizens over Covid this last three years, including welding the entrances to tower blocks shut to prevent citizens going out, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these future tourists will be planning a one way trip and applying to stay. Many of them already own apartments here in Thailand and other countries that they previously rented out through Airbnb. So they already have a base One would think that in the interest of safety, the current epidemic racing through the country and the huge numbers infected, China itself would understand the need for other countries to impose certain restrictions on it travelling citizens. Why the outrage?

I too have had one dengue infection. The doctor told me that it will be much worse if I get it a second time. I am thinking about having the dengue vaccination which I hope might prevent or lessen the symptoms of any future infection.

Drinking beer is supposed to attract more mosquitos. There is anecdotal evidence that vitamin B deters them too. So maybe take vitamin pills or try Marmite. But eat it. Don't spread it on your legs. That will just make your bedsheets messy. ???? Long sleeve shirts and trousers sprayed with, or rinsed in permethrin seems to be the way to go.

I was going to say that I am surprised that the government will allow Chinese tourists to return without any restrictions, but this is Thailand, and money rules. If China has it so bad now, what makes Thailand think they can control any spread? PCR certificates and tests? Already been proven to not be 100% effective. I wonder if Songkran will be cancelled this year and the "state of emergency" reinstated around the same time. Two and a half months from Chinese New Year should be enough time for the virus to spread country wide.

Chinese Buyers Bring Back Hope for Thailand’s Condominium Market
phetphet replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Maybe. But the sheer numbers mean there will always be plenty with money who want to get it out from under Xi's control. Add in the criminal element as we have seen recently and you have a lot of money sloshing about, looking for a safe place outside China. Be it a condo or a business, -
Prince Harry tells Anderson Cooper why he’s not stepping out of the limelight

What got me was when he (a decorated soldier who had fought in Afghanistan), said he "felt terrified when his brother shouted at him." I just hope that once he has got this off his chest, he will shut up, stop giving interviews, and go live the happy family life he craves. -

Can't help you in Pattaya. If you ask in any B2S bookshop, they might be able to order for you. I have ordered them before from Amazon and delivered to my home. Or as another poster suggested, there are lots of Wordsearch and Crossword puzzle apps for both phones, and i pad.

My bad. Phuket must have registered from his username. Same thing still applies.

What time do you go to sleep? (Poll)
phetphet replied to BananaStrong's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Usually 10:30 - 11:00. I rarely get 8 hours uninterrupted sleep. Either get up to go to the toilet or get a drink of water. Sleeping much better in this cooler weather though. When its hot, I tend to wake up several times in the night to put the a/c on for a while to cool the room. Then turn it off again. -

Just a quick look came up with this: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g293920-Activities-c40-t260-Phuket.html and these: https://www.mayapilates.co.th https://abbysan.com You can always search for reviews of any particular places that interest you.

Went out around 7:30 8-ish, but on and off three or four times before going off for about ten to fifteen minutes here in Bangrak. From where I was, it looked to be the whole island. Every time it tried to come on there was a really bright flash near what looked to be the W hotel area. I was trying to isolate things in the MCB. For us in Bangrak it was only off for a short while, but apparently some of the bars in Bangrak lost it until 9-ish. Was also off in Chaweng. GF told me a big transformer in Bophut was the culprit.

I know that you asked for Pattaya, but Thantakit in Bangkok made me a mouthguard for muay thai a few years ago. Took a mould of my teeth. Could probably do something similar for your specific needs. Just google Thantakit dental.

Maybe the batteries are dead. As others have said. Easy to replace. If not sure what to do, can often find videos showing how on Youtube.

In Thailand. Do they have the concept of "Common Law Wife"? Where if a couple have lived together as man and wife for a certain period of time, they are classed as married. This meaning that in any separation, possessions are divided equally.. i'm sure that I read of it somewhere, but I may be wrong.

So why did Sky News report there were 250 million infections in China in December alone? That's almost five times the entire population of the UK. Ah well! Let's see how he backtracks and what his excuse is in a couple of months.
