I hope it doesn't last much longer. and we get some rain to wash it away.

For a little bit more money, you can get the Amazon Firestick 4K, or 4K Max. I find it to be less clunky than the Xiaomi. I took my 4K Max to BKK last week, connected it to the TV in my hotel room, then to the WiFi. I have a VPN installed on it and was watching BBC iPlayer within a couple of minutes. You could move everything forward to the front.

I can't comment on the roof design, but what you might need to consider with 4m high ceilings, is the cost of cooling that amount of space if indeed you intend to instal air con. That is a lot of wasted space to cool above your head. Not a big problem if you intend to have small rooms.

We had one turn up near us here in Samui a couple of years ago. God knows where it came from. People used to feed her. Then she had piglets. She would lay by the side of the road suckling them, and as they got older, used to take them to a lady who fed them. She could actually hand feed them. Became a bit of a tourist attraction to see her wandering around followed by her babies. They were around for months. Gradually, one by one they disappeared. Taken my Myanmar workers apparently, until only mother and one almost fully grown female was left. Then mother disappeared and the young, by now fully grown female stayed in the same area, and used to approach the same lady for food, or bust open trash bags. She then disappeared. I was told she died from a pig virus.

We also have smog in Koh Samui at the moment. Though I doubt anywhere near as bad as the North. Very hazy at the moment. Someone told me it comes from burning in Indonesia, but don't know how true that is.

Just had the car air con topped up this afternoon. 500THB and a world of difference, but pretty sure there is a leak. Have been told 10 - 15,000 to fix. That can wait until after Songkran. I needed cooling now. Driving in this heat is horrible. Sitting here in a cold room with the air con on and the curtains closed as I type this. Dreading my next electricity bill.

I use a password manager / generator. Not perfect, but it generates passwords made up of symbols and alphanumerics, and I only have to remember one long one to access.
