Really Wish I Hadn't Invited My Friend To Visit
phetphet replied to Brewster67's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Don't breathe the sigh of relief yet. You might get a thank you email saying, "Thanks. Had a great time. Will be back in July for the school summer holidays." As for your friend grabbing the lady's rear. That could have backfired on both of you. Not just him. -
A light sprinkling when I popped out earlier, and some ominous black clouds passed over, but didn't drop anything. Maybe Nathon will get it. Still. Every little helps. It feels much cooler this morning at last, and definitely clearer.

Woke up this morning around 06:45. Thought to myself, "Its looking pretty dark out there. Is it raining?" Opened the curtains to the worst smog I have ever seen here. Had a look online at air quality index AQI for Samui. It's showing "Unhealthy 164". PM2.5 concentration in Ko Samui is currently 16 times the WHO annual air quality guideline value. One of the nice things about living here, coming from London is the fresh air. But this has had me coughing all week. Even the sunset last night was just a faded orange ball in a sea of grey. I hope it doesn't last much longer. and we get some rain to wash it away.

For a little bit more money, you can get the Amazon Firestick 4K, or 4K Max. I find it to be less clunky than the Xiaomi. I took my 4K Max to BKK last week, connected it to the TV in my hotel room, then to the WiFi. I have a VPN installed on it and was watching BBC iPlayer within a couple of minutes. As stated in the video, the Shield is best, but a whole different price range, and not as portable as the Firestick.

Looking at your drawing, and bearing in mind it is not to scale" If you moved bedroom 1 to the other side, behind the walk in wardrobe, Wouldn't it make what I presume is the living room, more of a square space? To be honest 280 sqm internal space is pretty big (and I don't think you realise how big) for a 3 bedroom house. I have less than that, around 155sqm, and have three double bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and my living room is still have 6m x 6m You really need to do a 'to scale' drawing. I might be reading this wrong, but I will give you an example: If each bedroom on your drawing is 4m wide, it would leave you with a hallway right through the house that is 6m wide. 4m + 4m + 6m = 14m Also, What is that wasted space opposite the bathroom? You could move everything forward to the front.

Not cheap, but something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Sensibo-Conditioner-Controller-Thermometer-Temperature/dp/B07MTGD3D9/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=WiFi%2Btimers%2Bfor%2Bair%2Bconditioners&qid=1681449398&sr=8-6&th=1 Also maybe look at Belkin Wemo smart plugs. You can turn them on and off from an app on your phone over wifi. Also lots of different universal remotes on Lazada.

Wildfire strikes Thai National Park, sparks regional eco-disaster

More forest and wildlife loss. What a juxtaposition. Forest fires burning while people spray water at each other on the streets. -

i don't know much about Thai etiquette, but isn't putting his hand on her head as in that second photo considered bad manners?

Wild Boar invades Pattaya! Can you give it a home?
phetphet replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
We had one turn up near us here in Samui a couple of years ago. God knows where it came from. People used to feed her. Then she had piglets. She would lay by the side of the road suckling them, and as they got older, used to take them to a lady who fed them. She could actually hand feed them. Became a bit of a tourist attraction to see her wandering around followed by her babies. They were around for months. Gradually, one by one they disappeared. Taken my Myanmar workers apparently, until only mother and one almost fully grown female was left. Then mother disappeared and the young, by now fully grown female stayed in the same area, and used to approach the same lady for food, or bust open trash bags. She then disappeared. I was told she died from a pig virus. -

Just had the car air con topped up this afternoon. 500THB and a world of difference, but pretty sure there is a leak. Have been told 10 - 15,000 to fix. That can wait until after Songkran. I needed cooling now. Driving in this heat is horrible. Sitting here in a cold room with the air con on and the curtains closed as I type this. Dreading my next electricity bill.

AI Can Now Crack Most Passwords in Less Than a Minute
phetphet replied to BigStar's topic in IT and Computers
I use a password manager / generator. Not perfect, but it generates passwords made up of symbols and alphanumerics, and I only have to remember one long one to access. -
Have you had it checked out to make sure all is working OK? Might possibly need topping up with gas.
