It amazes me, the amount of Thai that have brand new pickup trucks on the knock. God knows how much it must cost them in the long run. That is if they ever finish paying for it. Unlike property, cars depreciate from the moment they leave the showroom, (unless it's some rare Ferrari) so if the buyers default, the lenders probably won't get all their money back. I know someone that has a new PCX over seven years. Will pay almost double by the end of the loan term.

They are all owned by the same company, and they all get a commission. I tried reserving a room on booking.com last week, but they wanted me to pay upfront. I didn't have a card with me so called the owner direct. When I paid, it was much cheaper than the price booking.com quoted me.

+1 I have the same Asus router. I asked, and they sent a technician who put my 3BB router into bridge mode.

One thing worth noting with 3BB. If you pay for one year upfront, they give you 8% discount. I have had 3BB for over ten years from before they had fibre optic. I have always been very happy with them. Every so often, I do a speed test, and if the speed has dropped too much (even if I have no problems), I call them and they either try and fix from their end, or send a technician. I can stream Netflix, IPTV, AppleTV with rarely any problems. There was a rumour that they were going to be taken over by AIS. I hope not.

Have you been to London? or the UK recently? Each time I go back, I can't wait to return here to Thailand. It's not perfect, but from the day I moved here, I have never regretted it one moment. London vs Samui. Hmmm.

I do agree that in this day and age, a company looking to take bookings should have a proper website rather than a Facebook page. Perhaps, as a fairly new company, they have one in the works.

Poor animal. Not much of a life to look forward to. Either caged , or end up as Chinese medicine. -

That will put PaeThongtarn's nose out of joint. -
Unless there is a leak, the only things they will likely change are filters. Maybe add a little gas if pressure down. and blow out condenser. If your filters have never been touched, then it's likely dirt has got past, and maybe that's what he means. They do get very grubby here. If as you say, it's blowing much colder, then they have added gas. GF's Honda City went in for service last week. They said they think there is a leak somewhere in the A/C. Said they will need to change three parts: Condenser, expansion valve, and I think the other was evaporator. That says to me they don't know where the leak is and just want to change everything. For over 12,000 baht, they can stick it.

The more humans and concrete, the less insect life. Apart from as you say, cockroaches and flies.

I have 3BB 1Gbps down / 500Mbps up 700baht / month. Pay one year up front and get 8% discount. https://fiber.3bb.co.th/en/3bb-giga-fiber/ Or you can buy an AIS SIM card from Lazada, valid for one year that gives 100GB/month over 4G for 1590 baht. But to be honest, 3BB has been great for me. HTH

Should co-owners pay for EV scooter charging.
phetphet replied to Cricky's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I see where you are coming from, and you are right. But how many condos are there in your building? And how many bikes being charged? How much have you noticed your common area electricity bill increase by? Not worth worrying about until it really is a big problem. Then you can argue that proper pay to charge charging stations should be installed. -
For your information.. Charging stations are being installed in the car park under Central Festival Samui. A whole parking area is being designated just for this purpose. Can't see how many CS at the moment as the area is boarded up.

Now that is a pointing opportunity if ever I saw one. -
Samui. On my last renewal in January, even though I did photo page, visa, and last visa stamp, they still wanted all pages. They have insisted on a medical certificate (no more than seven days before application), and a hand drawn map, plus a Google map complete with GPS co-ordinates, for a number of years now. A bit of a joke really. This year a different doctor to the usual one I see. Didn't even go into the examination room. Me and another guy were told, "Arms out straight in front, palms down. Now turn palms up. OK done." At least the old doctor used to use his stethoscope, and asked how I was feeling.

Is that all? We also have to provide photocopies of all passport pages, a hand drawn map (it seems the Google Maps one with GPS co-ordinates isn't enough), a medical certificate, and sign another form stating that we understand all the visa rules and the consequences for breaking them. Oh! And all must be in portrait layout. Plus they keep slightly changing the visa application form TM.7? and will refuse to accept any older versions. Makes it almost impossible to scan and keep as a .pdf to fill in on computer.
