I managed to register a couple of years ago on my local immigration website, and did do several TM.30 reports for myself. It was all in Thai, so unless you read Thai, you might need someone to help you. Unless it has changed. I recall it was very clunky. My local main office is: http://suratimmigration.go.th/extranet/ My local immigration office eventually stapled a pice of paper into my passport saying something like 'Mr. X has notified us of his address.' Now I no longer have to do the reports each time I return to Thailand. The only other thing I can suggest is to try another browser.

Detection Dog Stops Tourist from Smuggling in Smoked Bats
phetphet replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Bats? Was it ever proved they were the source of Covid transmission at that Chinese market? Or still not found yet? -
October is wet season here in Samui, and can sometimes rain through to mid January. Don't know if it's due to climate change , but hasn't been too bad the last two years. I can remember people kayaking on Chaweng beach road several years ago, and even seeing Chaweng lake burst its banks. If you want almost guaranteed sunshine, better wait until February before coming here.

Depends where you shop, and what you tend to eat. Tops? or Talad? Flash restaurant? Or local Thai food shack? But in general Samui is expensive because it is an island. Therefore greater shipping costs. Fuel and ferries.

If you also want it for protection, one of these might do: https://www.etsy.com/market/knobkerrie

Don't worry. China is waiting and ready to step into the void left by all the woke countries.

Water Monitor in the ceiling! Lottery riches await

I thought it was a polite way of saying he was taking a dump. -
I also have Surfshark. Happy with it.

Upset the neighbours with his behaviour, and they reported him. Then causes a stand off with the police and tries to pull down power lines. Doesn't say how long the couple had overstayed, but he certainly hasn't done his case any good if he he had any chance of returning sometime in the future. The IO stated likely deported and blacklisted.

I bought my PCX about a year ago. Paid cash and got the white plate in a month. But in other years when buying new bikes, have waited up to three months.

Safety for solo travellers in the Philippines
phetphet replied to coralia's topic in Philippines General Chat
I suppose it depends whereabouts in the Philippines you go. I have been to Cebu, Bohol, Dumaguete, Siquijor, Puerto Galera, Guimaras and Boracay in the early 2000's. Admittedly, mainly for diving so we were not doing much nightlife, and some of these places were very quiet apart from Boracay. Never experienced or saw any trouble anywhere. Flew from BKK into Cebu then, though not sure if still possible. I would avoid Manila like the plague. Too much crime, too many bad stories. -
Open UK Bank account from Thailand
phetphet replied to Gabe H Coud's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Just some suggestions: Are you doing your phone banking from a Thai phone number? That might be your problem. Same if you are doing online banking. It might be worth trying with a VPN set to UK. I keep a phone with a UK number which is registered with my bank and I use that for receiving OTP's or phone banking. Almost impossible to open a new UK bank account without a registered UK address nowadays. They often want proof of address such as a current UK driving licence or Council Tax bill. If you can hide the fact that you are not in the UK, and also provide required documents, you might get away with it. -
You could also check out the other providers. They might offer a better deal. You should still be able to keep your current number when changing to AIS or DTAC.

Any drone pilots available in Samui for a day
phetphet replied to mrblonde's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Just google "Samui drone photography" and Samui aerial photography and you will get some hits. There used to be a guy that regularly posted his videos and photos on the site. posted under name philthebook I think. He was fully licensed to fly drones here, and often did aerial work for hotels, resorts, and for roof inspections I believe.. Search for his name here and you could possibly PM him and ask him. Others may know his company name and contact details -

You should go to True and ask them for an addon internet package to your SIM. Better yet. Seeing as these companies are always offering deals, just ask them to look at your current package and see if they have any better deals that include internet access for you.
