  1. Looks like one far left has her face blurred out, so probably not one of the missing.
  2. Also CentralWorld and Samui. The one in CentralWorld had an "80% off Closing Sale" when I was there mid Feb.
  3. Perhaps it is because you have a French pension that they feel you are French tax domiciled.
  4. See an orthopede. Some info about surgical option. https://www.healthline.com/health/bunion-removal
  5. Only 34? That is a drop. I expected to see numbers start climbing after Songkran and Full Moon Party. I am five days into positive ATK and self quarantine myself. Temp back to normal. Minor symptoms almost gone.
  6. Depending on my mood I either just tell them I am not interested, hang up and block their number, or I ask them where they got my number from and keep them on the phone a while. They can't afford to waste time and need to get on to the next call. A couple of months ago I started getting calls from the US and Singapore. I asked them where they got my number from and they told me the name of some company. There must be someone selling data lists from hacks. One guy from Singapore was quite persistent until I started getting angry and saiid something along the lines of "OK then! Come on! What are you selling? Let's waste both our times!" He answered, "No need to be like that." and hung up. The ones that I find really annoying are those pre-recorded Thai calls. Always seem to be when I am doing something. Answer the phone and get some Thai woman spouting off about something.
  7. I've just tested positive myself this morning. Had a bit of a sleepless night Friday with a cough. Now it's a deep dry cough, with slight headache. No sore throat or other symptoms. Vaccinated 2 x AZ and 1 x Pfizer booster on 26th December. Didn't catch it when everyone else in our household had it a couple of months ago. Will now stay at home for a week or until test negative.
  8. Likely never learned to drive a manual, only automatic. And not many lessons at that. I wonder if she had left foot on the brake and right on the accelerator.
  9. I was in a café having breakfast and it came up on the TV. By the time I had overcome my amazement and got my phone out, the picture had disappeared.
  10. My post about this I made this morning was closed because this one is already open. My post, see below, wasn't so much about the rape itself, but rather that in the news article on Amarin, they show photos of the perpetrators and the offended lizard....but get this...the lizard had a black bar across its face to protect its identity. ???? Saw a news article on Amarin this morning about the three Indians who raped a monitor lizard. They showed photos of the three men under arrest, but the photo of the assaulted monitor lizard had its face blacked out. What the ****?

  12. Might be an idea to install a security camera, in case she tries to gain access without your permission, or do something stupid. Loss of face makes some Thais do crazy things. You really ought to secure your private media or your tablet.
  13. My opinion is it's better to buy. I am presuming you are talking a new bike. Say a new PCX. I doubt you could rent one for less that 6000 -7000/month. That's 72000-84000/year. A new one list is 89600 non ABS, but you will probably pay around 97000 in a dealership. So by buying, you will be ahead money wise early in the second year. Better to buy your own first class insurance, so that is a negative cost. Say 5000. You can do any modifications if that's your thing, without problems. I put a 34L box on mine. I just sold a 3 year old PCX for 55000. Was told that was cheap. One thing I will add. If you are going to buy, plan ahead a little. I have a new PCX non ABS on order. Been told 1-2 months delivery.
  14. Got shot at with water guns and showered with buckets of iced water yesterday here in Samui. Mixture of both thais and foreigners. Far less than pre Covid. Not too much of a problem outside the tourist areas. Chaweng beach road near the entertainment area was busy with drunken tourists armed with those giant power guns that hold about a gallon of water.
  15. Sounds like the gas tanker ran into the back of the other vehicle. Possibly speeding, brake failure., or both.
  16. Frequently like that. It depends on the time of day one does the transaction and method used to transfer money to Wise.. Sometimes can be next day, or even two days, but normally pretty quick.
  17. Would this help? https://www.canonprinter-drivers.com/2019/02/canon-pixma-g2010-driver-for-mac-os.html
  18. Could be no seal between the toilet pan and the waste pipe in the floor, or misaligned. Happened to me.
  19. I rarely have to browse all sources before finding something to watch. e.g. On Sunday I started flicking through movies on IPTV and found a series of movies that I hadn't seen (Jesse Stone). Nine movies. I will work through them at my leisure. Took minutes. If it's something particular I can use the search facility. Sport. I can pretty much find what I want, be it a certain match or F1. Subscriptions costs vary with different packages. The same as internet packages and speeds do. Apple TV is pretty much a library of all the films and tv series that I have bought over the years. I can stream at home or download to my iPad when travelling. I did say I used to use torrents years ago. The hassle for me used to be finding seeds and then waiting for things to download.
  20. I don't know as I never look for free stuff on the internet. It's easy to just open Netflix and browse the content to see what I might be interested in watching. I also have Kodi, Apple TV and an IPTV service, so my viewing options are pretty big, with all I could want, and more. Obviously there is some duplication across different services.. I used to use torrents years ago, but too much hassle. I don't get buffering on Netflix if just on the Thai service. The UK one can be good or bad. The US one (which is the one with the widest choice) is nigh on impossible to watch nowadays.
  21. I think you are wrong. I too have a UK subscription, but if I try to watch the UK ( or US) service without VPN or unblocker. I cannot connect and will get a message that something went wrong and an error number. Netflix checks your IP address. Sometimes even with VPN I cannot watch due to buffering. I used to to watch Netflix US because it had more content, then buffering became so bad that it was impossible. Not sure if due to Netflix or internet provider. Netflix are clamping down even more on this now. Just because you may be watching all English language programs, including well known UK shows does not mean you are watching UK Netflix. You will need to actually go into your settings to check. Even with UK subscription, if you travelled to the US, you will only be able to watch US Netflix, Australia, Aussie Netflix, Thailand, Thai Netflix. HTH
  22. I wonder what will happen if there are hardly any online buyers for the June draw. As for winning,GF tells me that the place where they payout takes 3%.
  23. Many tourists here walking around without a mask. I think that people have come on holiday and just want to try and forget about Covid.
  24. The only way you might get it is to pay for the full installation costs yourself, and by that I mean all the poles and cables. Or maybe ask for a dedicated line. But definitely try all providers.
