  1. 6k but the agent has been good to me, they came back and returned the money the same day once when the IO said it was too early to do it, so I'm not gonna worry about an extra 1000.
  2. It also could be a mistake and unfortunately, if not corrected, he would be considered on overstay after 60 days even though it was the IO who made the mistake.
  3. I use one so I don't have to go to Jomtien and immigration twice and wait in line with a bunch of other degens like me. Gets picked up and dropped off for me right at my condo lobby. Money not an issue for me at the moment so happy to have the option even if it's overpaying for something simple.
  4. Well the latest extension order did have some new addendum that immigration officers can use their discretion more but that was before Omicron became an issue too. I really think you just got unlucky and got an <deleted> IO.
  5. If you came in on a tourist visa, yes you are supposed to do your 30 day extension first. Since you came during COVID and are not a "tourist stuck here" the IO might have just decided to be an ass and only give you 60 from your date of application. Or maybe to try to push you to use an agent next time.
  6. This might be at the discretion of the IO. The norm is that it's from current stamp date, not date of application.

    Rubbish

Good place to store it until they burn it.
  8. Just like they tell you their customs about having to wai their mom, dad, etc.. you can tell them in your country, people say thank you and don't just expect the kindness of others, even family. That's what I did and they learned.
  9. You forgot 4. They'd have to give a <deleted> (they won't).
  10. I think the other way around. Rules and regulations are just for the peons. How the whole delta outbreak started.
  11. Yeah I personally do and I've had some close calls, loving spicy food like I do but having IBS and my stomach not so much liking it and call me jaded but I know plenty of Thais in the city I live who wouldn't/didn't give a krap (hah) or let me use their facilities if/when I was about to explode diarrhea everywhere. I also wouldn't complain if my food was late or cancelled for that reason and I knew why.
  12. I would charge 10 baht like the pay toilets. Nah, I'd say sorry, no hab. I appreciate the work the Grab drivers do but plenty of other toilets around, definitely not using mine.
  13. The one in Pattaya Central Festival is open.
  14. You can get a residence certificate from immigration and some banks will open an account for you with that. Try Bangkok Bank or Kasikorn. Or if you're lazy and just want a sure thing, there are some agents that will take you to a farang friendly bank and do everything for you for a fee.
  15. Seems like they are honoring already approved ones but no longer accepting new ones. https://www.matichon.co.th/politics/news_3097424
  16. I'd be more worried about the things in some of the "drinking" water that you can't see.
  17. The question is, if SSO covers it, do you want to go that way. It's not going to be a fancy hotel or hospitel, it'll most likely be a government hospital or facility with miserable conditions and food. If you want to pay for a hotel or hospitel, it will cost you a lot more than 16,000. My friend who had COVID continued testing positive with a PCR test for 2 weeks after first testing positive, even with no symptoms at all.
  18. The Chinese Takeaway - By Pimmy is alright. Believe you can only order delivery through Facebook.
  19. Wow, that almost looks intentional, who the heck does that?
  20. I'd say it's definitely already here and circulating and there's not much incentive for the people in power to sound the alarm during the so called "peak season". We'll know the truth by mid January probably.
  21. If this gets as bad as I suspect it will, the extensions will definitely continue.
  22. 3 year ban unless she gets caught by one of those pesky smart cars on the way somehow and then it's 10 years and they would also probably deport her back to her home country.
