  1. There are no "good" bladder bacteria, bladder is a sterile organ. Some UTIs are asymptomatic. Drinking cranberry juice can be helpful, and presumably they have given you antibiotics.
  2. There are several church run hospitals in Bangkok but none of them offer free care to farangs. In fact we had a recent thread about someone's difficulty paying a huge bill at Camillian. (These hospitals are, however, less expensive than other private hospitals). Further it appears travelling is a problem. The best option for this person is one of the large, tertiary government hospitals near Pattaya. Chonburi Hosputal (Choinburi town, regional hospital, will have cardiology service) or Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital in Sri Racha (ditto). He needs at a minimumn a physical exam and an EKG, possibly other tests. This is NOT something one can just get a vew pills for. At a government hospital even with EKG and perhaps other tests, still quite affordable. The challenge will be if he needs pacemaker or surgery but cross that bridge if and when come to it. If he us already on cardiac meds, the slow heart rate might be related to that and some tweaking oi medications (after appropriate testing, and by a full fledged cardiologist) might suffice. No way to tell, he needs to go see cardiologist.
  3. Yes, exactly. And not just in Thailand. I have seen it in Western countries as well. Dead people do not sue. Living people do. A hospital will be very, very reluctant to go against a family's clearly stated wishes.

  5. As I said - Ban Lamunag is definitely not the place to go for this. It is possible some of the cardiologists at these hospitals have a private clinic but (1) would also likely be in Chonburi or Sri Racha towns and (2) would not have the needed capacities (tests etc) to diagnosis what sounds like his condition. All such clinics do is provide medication, just a step up from a simple pharmacy, and not what (from your description) he needs Has he really not a single friend able to take him?
  6. As others have said, there is no fine print. It is not his wife but the wife of a friend. And we have no way of knowing what the issue is (and seems OP also does nto know), best not to make any assumptions. If as was initially said they have had the policy for 5 years it seems unlikely to be on grounds of pre-existing unless there is clear past history. But we really have no idea. I have known over the years people to make reports oif "insurer will not pay" and it later turns out: - the insurer is awaiting documentation from the hospital which had nto been sent (if this is Vachira hospital - as it may be from the suggestion that cost only 300k -- then it likely will never arrive). - the insurer would pay but not directly, only on reimbursement basis (this is more common with travel policies and with government hospitals which do not have direct pay arrangements with insurers) - the insurer would pay but has an issue with the cost estimate provided, or will not pay the full costs because they exceed policy limits -- there is a clear exclusion in the policy which this falls under and many, many more things. We Simply have no way of knowing what this specific issue is.
  7. Office of the Insurance Commission the body that regulates all types of insurance, and insurers, in Thailand. And the place to lodge a complaint, which can be done online.
  8. He should go to either Chonburi Hospital (in the town of Chonburi - huge tertiary level facility) or the Red Cross Hospital in Sri Racha.(Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial). Both of these are vastly better option than Ban Lamang where he would likely be seen by an internist not real cardiologist. In both of these, would do best to go to the after hours clinic and directly see a senior doctor but that will cost several hundred baht more (normal fee is 50 baht..depending on location, after hours clinic fees range 250 - 500). Moved to the Health Forum.
  9. You are certainly way overdoing it on the Vitamin D, usually recommeneded dose for adult supplementation is 800 iu. 4,000 i u daily is the absolute maximum dose considered safe; I cannot imagine why you have been taking that much. Personally I take 800 iu Vit D daily and blood tests confirm that has me in normal range. However it is not known to damage the liver. Berroca already had B vitamins, it is a mix of B and C, so why on earth would you take both Berrocca and B Complex and Vit C? Ver high doses of niacin can damage the liver, no way to tell from what you wrote how much niacin you are getting. Too much B6 can also cause problems though not AFAIK to thel iver. Most people who suipplement would take just either 1 B Complex daily or one Berrocca daily. Certainly not 2 B Co plus Berrocca. Very high zinc intake can bt toxic to the liver, you do nto mention the dosage you take. Tribulas is nto a vitamin and I already discussed the possible linkage between it and liver damage in your original thread...and advised you to stop taking it and repeat the labs (which apparently you have nto done). https://aseannow.com/topic/1289059-fatty-liver/
  10. Ah yes. So then easy matter to lodge a complaint with the OIC. If the insurance company is in the wrong (cannot say on that as no details provided), simply filing a complaint with the OIC is often all it takes to get things quickly resolved. OP have them open that link in Giigle chrome for translation as while the main OIC page comes in English the complaint form is only in Thai. They will need to first register with a password and email addy.
  11. P.S. the above applies only if it is a Thai-issued policy. If foreign issued then consult the policy dicuments which will describe appeals procedure.
  12. This. Easy to do online No need for lawyer.
  13. There are no best hospitals, only best doctors (and these often have privileges at more than one hospital). Please indicate where in Thailand you live and whether you can afford private hospital.
  14. You are not going to be able to get the tests and specialist consultations you want on Koh Samui. Only small community level hospitals there. Need to go to the mainland or Bangkok. On the mainland the nearest large hospital is Surat Thani which is a (government) regional level faclity
  15. Cataract is not optical. Optical means things like glasses, contact lenses etc Things like retinal detachment, cataracts etc are opthalmologic condition. Not optical. They would normally be included unless there was a pre-existing condition. Some Thai companies routinely exlude not only cataracts but other diseases common in the elderly (e.g. prostate problems) if issuing a new policy to someone over a certain age.
  16. Nobody anywhere promises sexual rejuvenation from Rexum. At best it will improve urine flow without worsening sexual performance but it certainly cannot improve either performance or libido over baseline and is not claimed to.
  17. Rather depends on the cat burlt the 2 I have living outside are a regular little death squad who have decimated the mouclse, gecko and orher lizard population. They also often catch normal sized snakes though hard to say how'd they respond to really big one.
  18. If it is raised then indeed could be a wart. Likely a plantar wart. May go away on its own eventually but if really uncomfortable then doctor can freeze it off (cryo).
  19. No, it isn't. Suggest you try the Brown Mixture first. If no success then best consult colorectal surgron to find out what they advise to use here.
  20. Really hard to tell from picture. Is it a raised lesion?
  21. You could just put in some Tiger Balm. Essentially same thing as Vicks.
  22. As said, fatty liver would not cause pain. Your original post said no pain. Is it possible you are just overly focused on this and paying so much attention that your mind magnifies normal bodily sensations?? Any other hepatic cause of pain would have shown in ultrasound.
  23. Fatty liver is asymptomatic. So does not account for your pain and from the sound of it nothing else was seen on ultrasound that would. Likely cause is something orher than liver. I note in your original post you had no pain so apparently this is new. When did it start? And where exactly do you feel it? Is it constant?
  24. I much doubt it is available at public hospital but you can try the headache clinic at Chulalongkorn. Even at public hospital the drug cost remains considerable as there are no locally made brands.
  25. Can you olprovide details of a pharmacy that will sell Jardiance over the counter?
