  1. Thanks, doesn't sound like it's changed much since I was last there ????
  2. This I know (as stated in my second paragraph), but that wasn't the question.
  3. I reckon you are going to need a Beemer specialist. My step-son has used these guys in the past, not sure if they can do diffs but a call can't hurt. If they can't I'll bet they know a man who can. GPS 13.77983833094584, 100.5770721690382
  4. Thanks everyone. I'm now pretty sure it's not actually an attempt to scam me, just to avoid Lazada and card fees. But the shop isn't convenient for us (convenience - the main reason to order on-line) so I will be going with another, slightly more expensive, supplier.
  5. Can you get a re-entry permit at any immigration office, or does it have to be your "home" office? Obviously, you can get one at Swampy but that's not always convenient. So, can I walk into any immigration and get a re-entry permit? EDIT It's been a looong time, but is the process at Swampy still the same? They do everything including take your photo (assuming you don't mind paying their processing fee of course).
  6. From their later comments it's pretty obvious they never wanted to deal via Lazada, the "too heavy" excuse was just fluff. They wanted to avoid Lazada and credit card charges by collecting cash.
  7. Thanks. I assume therefore that the other two owners will have essentially identical documents detailing their own plots. When it comes to land deals here, I worry about anything that looks a little unusual, there's often a back-story and things can and do turn nasty.
  8. I would also be looking carefully at that long thin bit on the right which I'm assuming is an access road. You would need easements in place in order that no owner could block any of the others from accessing their plot. Take care Will Robinson!
  9. To be safe I would check just how much it would cost to split the chanote, then everyone has their own and there can be no disputes.
  10. 0.5kW (500W) will take 2 hours to send 1kWh out through the meter. At 500W the disc would rotate 200 times per hour (3.3 times per minute). So, time your disc, over say 5 minutes and you can calculate Watts exported.
  11. Yup, they are one of the "slightly more expensive" purveyors. At least I know they're above board.
  12. The plot thickens. Do Lazada charge the seller a fee when a buyer uses a credit card? Maybe that's what they're playing at. And a timely reminder from Lazada slap in the middle ????
  13. I just don't buy the "too heavy" line. But if they said "please come and collect" then maybe ok. Moving to wanting cash on the nail sealed the non-deal!
  14. Lazada have accepted my cancel request, so just waiting for the $$ to arrive back on my card. Yeah, the whole thing smells of some kind of scam. Dodgy employee dealing out the back door perhaps? I'd already decided not to deal with them outside Lazada, there are other (slightly more expensive) purveyors of the same item, so once I get my $$ back we shall see if they also have a weight issue.
  15. OK Ordered a replacement for our dead above-ground pool. 30k Baht. Seller contacted Madam, so I got them on Lazada Chat. They said the item is too heavy for the Lazada courier. They want me to cancel via Lazada and go and collect from their office. But they only accept cash (offered me a discount). Location looks legit on Google maps. I really don't like dealing outside the Lazada zone, zero protection. Cash only = no protection from Mr Visa either. What could be the angle here?
  16. Sadly, with no re-entry permit your extension died when you left ???? Back to square one ????
  17. From here (with sound clips) http://www.ietto.net/airport.html
  18. Will they work against our latest visitor? At least he won't be getting inside any technology.
  19. @MJCMare low users still getting the FT rebate, I can't remember if it was for 2 or 3 months?
  20. No, sadly these things only go from USB to HDMI (to drive a monitor or projector) not the other way.
  21. It's quite possible that your TV has an issue ???? You could try powering it off completely (pull the plug), have a coffee beer then try again. Does the TV have a second HDMI you can try?
  22. Also, bear in mind that if it's smaller than this (or roughly equivalent): - 'taint 20Ah.
  23. The 160gsm is 138Baht for 100 sheets on Lazada https://www.lazada.co.th/products/hi-jet-laser-art-glossy-photo-paper-160-a4-100-i7494267-s9358359.html It's available in various weights (thicknesses) but not really foldable. For comparison regular copier paper is about 70gsm so the photo stuff is about twice as thick.
