They do, but! I've found that they tend to make the fans noisy and may lead to overheating. Worth a shot of course.

You can generally slow down a fan by placing a capacitor in series with one of the supply wires. The value is very much trial and error I'm afraid. A good place to start would be a cap of the same value as the run capacitor inside the fan, that way you will have a few spares once you have completed your speed regulation exercise. Go out and buy half a dozen of the relevant capacitor (they are cheap). Note you MUST use the correct mains rated capacitors. As noted above a good start would be the same is the fan run capacitor. Start off with one capacitor in series, if that's not slow enough add another in series with that one, and another and another until it's going slow enough for you. If one capacitor makes it too slow then you can add another in parallel with the first capacitor, and other as required to get the required speed. Once you have the desired effect, insulate any bare wires and stick it in a nice plastic box.

Pretty happy at present, they have some nice functionality like being able to AC-couple grid-tie inverters on the "Gen" terminals. If you have more than one inverter paralleled each can have its own Gen settings, so one can be AC-coupled whilst another is actually a generator or a Smart-Load (not tried this yet). There are, as always, a few quirks with the initial setup and the online application, but that's what internet forums are for 🙂 LVtopsun do a re-branded version with different firmware for slightly less $$$ but I've not tried these. We currently have 20kWP of panels which makes us waaay over-paneled for our normal weekday load so our batteries are full mid-afternoon even on overcast days. When the grandkids are here at the weekend all bets are off!!

I used to buy the gold and red Panasonic AA and AAA cells from Lotus's they always lasted a goodly while in keyboards, rodents, clocks, remotes etc. Lately Lotus's have only carried Kodak branded batteries, so, needing batteries, of course I bought them. They just don't seem to last as well as the Panasonic ones, I'm not mad enough to log when I replace batteries but ... So, is it just me or ... Sorry Lotus's but I've bought a big box of the Panasonic ones on Lazada.

My understanding is that the straight threads are BSP and tapered are NPT.

I had all these, how about you? The head came off the green hippo (IIRC). I wanted a Big Trak but never got one 😞
