  1. +1 on using an agent to do the deed.
  2. It's under Thailand General Chat https://aseannow.com/forum/467-buy-sell-marketplace/
  3. Agree 100% with that. Our panels stay damp in the lowest corner but the only effect seems to be a slightly dirtier area from the crud that was dissolved in the rain.
  4. Ouch! Did the damaged panels ever have standing water after rain? "Aggressive" cleaning chemicals used? It will be interesting to see what the manufacturer comes up with.
  5. Once upon a time, when the earth was green and unicorns roamed wild, AN (or TV as was) had a full set of reaction emojis and the names of who posted them appeared to members. Then certain members started "emoji stalking" other members (adding negative reactions to many posts), this, of course, led to the victims returning the favour. It actually got quite nasty! We reduced the emoji set to only the "positive" ones, members complained. We removed all the reaction emojis, members complained. There may have been some other iterations too (age is setting in and it was a while back - I think the whole trail is in the Support forum somewhere). Finally, we settled on a pretty full emoji set but anonymous to members (hence the "Somebody" moniker). Members still complain, but the instances of emoji-stalking do seem to be well down. Staff can still see who posted emojis, so if you think you are being stalked hit the Report button on one of the posts and tell us.
  6. Important note to members: - If you make a post that contains an email address it will be flagged for moderator approval which may take a few minutes. You can avoid this issue by posting emails in the format fred[at]gmail.com. We implemented this rule to avoid email harvesting by bots.
  7. Went to the AiS shop this morning with Madam of course. 10 minutes, lots of smiling pretty ladies 😛 my passport and a photo, all done!! As reported by others, easy-peasy. I wonder what criteria they use for this, not that it matters now as I've fixed the issue with AiS. One assumes "same family name" would be one of them, others?
  8. Even with a bubbler and basic filter it's not going to stay clear for long, and doubtless even with regular water changes, you're going to get a slimy algae buildup on surfaces 😞 Get a cheap floating chlorine dispenser and some tablets 🙂
  9. A post discussing moderation has been removed per forum rules. If you feel any moderation actions are incorrect etc. please contact support[at]aseannow.com
  10. From an earlier post "For faster service, please send e-mails only to [email protected]" Please don't post the full email list of the FBU, if it's available on an official site feel free to post a link to that site. EDIT to forum rule.

Quite a few of us have read the book (although apparently 25% of people who say they've read it are lying), and many of us lived the year. Test your knowledge on both 🙂
  11. I just completed this quiz. My Score 70/100 My Time 138 seconds
  12. Anyone know if there's an easy way to check whose name is attached to the phone number (AiS) without going to a phone office. Madam doesn't remember whether we used my name when the requirement to actually register first came up 1,000,000 years ago.
  13. Yeah, all our phones are on pre-pay. If/when the bank(s) ask I'll give it a go at a main AiS shop, we only need to change my number over.
  14. We then have the "fun" of changing our number with the banks. something which has been widely reported as "less than easy". At least changing with the phone people would only be a one-time thing. @Moonlover No we don't share a family name, Madam changed her previously married name back to her maiden name when we got hitched.
  15. Touché 🙂
  16. Indeed. How about using a "protest-vote" and doing nothing? 🙂
  17. None of my banks have asked, yet. (SCB, BkkBank, Krungthai, UOB) But when they do is it actually possible to change my AiS registration name from my good lady wife to myself?
  18. You could actually use these "word" thingies in a post replying to the one you don't agree with. They can convey all sorts of useful (and less than useful) messages
  19. Here we are again 🙂 January numbers. The figures come from our inverters via Solar Assistant, There's certainly something of a discrepancy between production and consumption figures. I'll have to investigate that although I'm not really worried, the important number is the PEA consumption which agrees with the PEA meter.
  20. Hmmm, I wonder why my picks are all displaying a significant decolletage. 😛 Maybe I'm missing something by being in sunny Thailand
  21. Or Britain's answer to Marilyn Monroe, Diana Dors 😛
  22. Fenella Fielding as Valeria Watt, Carry On Screaming (1966)
