I note that the Pathum Thani camera has moved slightly and we can now see the 2554 marker, waaaaay higher than anything more recent! It's actually more in line with what we saw during the mega-flood whilst our home was under construction vs 2022 when we were mm from having water in the house.

Yup! I hate the App so do all my searching on the PC. Add to the cart then over to the App to get the coins and vouchers, then order.

Vehicle Inspector Reassigned Amid Deadly School Bus Fire Probe
Crossy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yup, similar experience earlier this year. First "MOT" for our Mu-X. Parked in the waiting area. Nice young lady took the keys and payment, then parked over the inspection pit. We sat and watched. 10 minutes or so later the young lady came out with our certificate and receipt for the payment. Nobody had been near the car!! (unless there's a secret passageway from the office to the inspection pit) Not that it would have failed of course, regularly dealer serviced and new rubber in June last year. -
Bucking the trend slightly, I wonder if the trigger was actually the black truck, he definitely went through on red (and if he were correctly positioned in his lane your plate would have been obscured). The AI evidently decided that you'd run too as you had a readable plate (a bit like that infamous camera fine against a car on the back of a recovery vehicle). Back home, where the fines are significant, I might fight it, here, nah too much bother.

Is it really worth the stress and hassle? Pay the fine and be happy that the driver in the black truck behind you also got one. I've never had a red-light photo and only one speeding (122 in a 120 limit for flips sake). It's white-line cameras that are my nemesis, I seem to find new ones on a regular basis 😞

Foul-Smelling Trail of Feces Found in Thai Parliament
Crossy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It would be extremely crass for me to make a comment about it being a leak of the bovine product which the occupants of the building dish out on a daily basis. So I won't- 103 replies

It was worth a shot. There are loads of suitable pumps around of course, sadly unless you get an identical unit you're going to need some plumbing. Could you post a photo of the existing unit, members may be able to suggest a (almost) drop-in replacement. We have a Grundfos unit, now 13 years old, it's had a new capacitor and a replacement pressure tank. silent in operation but not cheap. Misubishi pumps have a good reputation at the other end of the cost range without going too cheap and nasty.

Firstly, are you certain it's not just the pump capacitor?? Does the pump buzz and get warm or do nothing??

How about a solar car port on a budget?
Crossy replied to Crossy's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Yeah, we're keeping a weather eye on the river but at present it's well below "worry" level, not even near "nervous". But things can change quite quickly. The building work is all part of Madam's Master-Plan to enclose (and A/C of course) our downstairs living area. I've already planned space for more panels! -

That's actually for our flood-wall, hopefully to be mostly complete when the river arrives 🙂 -

Numbers for September. Grand-daughter is here, the water heaters are still on the grid. These factors lead to a PEA consumption of about 2kWh per day, about double what it is when there's just me and the missus. We also took delivery of a large box from China; contents 8 x 280Ah Eve cells and 3 x battery box / BMS (I have cells for the two extra boxes). I promised Madam that there wouldn't be any more (no more space in the battery shed). -

It's this one in the Google Play store. EDIT It looks like it's only available in the Thai PlayStore, it is available on Apkpure for those who don't want to set up a local Google account.

Q1 - Connect your earth to whichever busbar is indicated as being for earth 🙂 Do NOT connect it to the incoming neutral, it's pretty obvious from earlier posts that your building is not wired for MEN. Keep it as TT, you have individual RCBOs so you have excellent safety. Q2 - It really doesn't matter although putting the heavier loads to the left certainly doesn't hurt.

Earth where no earth exists, on 12th floor.

I'd start a new thread with a relevant title, makes it easier for search-engines to find your content. -
Google Lens is your friend. What kind of PVC are you fixing, PVC covering or rigid PVC structure (plastic chair).

Yeah, that was my thought too. In 2011 we had about 30cm of water in the house, sadly we were too far along with construction to raise our floor levels by much. In 2022 the water just crept into the lowest parts of downstairs. EDIT Madam indicates the water level post the 2011 flood.

We are keeping a very close eye on things; we got pretty damp in 2022. We are in the process of building permanent flood defences as part of Madam's home modification process.
