Vents Bathroom Exhaust Fan recommendations
Crossy replied to stupidfarang's topic in The Electrical Forum
I can't make any specific device recommendations, but as a starting point here's how to size your fan. https://www.airconcentre.co.uk/blogs/advice/extractor-fans-buying-guide -
Yup, your red plate was just a temporary "dealer" plate. Your car is now properly registered.

High tide at Pak Kret, level is up a little. And my standard reference photos. I see that the neighbour's "shed" which was wonky at best has succumbed to last night's storm 😞

Stop moaning! Uncle Chillies at the PJ Hilton in KL had +++ pricing. Service, VAT, Luxury Tax 😞

Yeah, but it didn't in 2022 (it was pretty ruddy damp mind.). That's a relatively tiny level difference.

5mA is way too sensitive, wind it up to the max 25mA and see if that helps (fixed units are usually 30mA so you're not compromising safety). A lot of technology naturally "leaks" to earth via the mains inlet filter (that's why your desktop PC bites if run without an earth), it's part of the design of the equipment to minimise interference with other kit.

Is the trip related to rain?? If so, check outdoor outlets and lighting for damp. It's also worth checking your light switches and outlets for wildlife ingress. There are some tiny ants that adore electric fields, they also conduct electricity! Is your main breaker one of the "adjustable" type? Check it's set to 30mA.

Just add a generator!

For DIY installations, where do you buy parts from ?
Crossy replied to nbtiot's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Our inverters and ancillary bits n bobs came from Lazada. If you wait for the various discount coupons you can get very competitive pricing. Panels initially came from Global, later ones came from an estate clearance. I did get a few from Lazada but with delays, disappearing panels and breakages I've not bought any more. Batteries are from China, specifically Shenzen Luyuan https://szluyuan.en.alibaba.com/ who have a universally good reputation among the DIY solar community. Sensible pricing and DDP shipping to Thailand. Beware, there is a LOT of rubbish out there! Our inverters are on the PEA approval list but we are running off-grid with an ATS to switch over to grid if the solar fails. -
Yup, I easily made the required income when I started my Lloyds Offshore account, now not earning quite so much but no comment from the bank 🙂

OK, I will not apply my engineering experience to further "guesses".

Since it's stopped working, just unscrew it and find out I suspect it's holding the guts inside the casting.
