Nah, the MCB is waaaaay too slow to trip on the EMP, it won't even notice. MCB several milliseconds to think about operating, lightning pulse sub microsecond.

My Wife just phoned me and the conversation went like this :- Her: "You know that Gladiator movie that I got you for Xmas..???" Me: "Yeah." Her: "Wind it forward One Hour, 16 mins and 28 seconds." Me: "Right, I've done that".. Her: "Okay, you see the Gladiator at the front Fighting the Lion..???" Me: "I can see that, yeah." Her: "Just behind him, there are two Gladiators having a Sword Fight with each other??" Me: Okay, I see them." Her: "Well, behind them two, on the left hand side of the Screen, there's a Gladiator holding a Spear???" Me: "Yes...! I can see him".. Her: "Right...... Those are the Sandals, I want for my Birthday."

How big is the pump?? What "curve" was the first unit? If it was "B" then the startup surge from your pump may have tripped it. That said I've not seen a B curve unit here; C curve seems to be the standard. It's always possible that the Haco one was actually faulty. In our time BS (Before Solar) we never managed to trip our 63A incomer even with Madam's 3HP irrigation and 2HP lift pumps running.

DIY solar system - how to sell electricity to PEA
Crossy replied to 4myr's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Yeah, that's one reason we decided to go it alone and have an off-grid system with batteries. More expensive equipment but we DIY'd the system so no installation costs (ok much reduced coz I still ended up paying family for labour). We retain our PEA connection for backup (it also runs the water heaters to keep the meter moving). -
I wasn't really suggesting going to Amazon it was just a quick example. These or similar things are readily available on Lazada etc. ASUS also do NUC devices https://www.asus.com/eg-en/content/nuc-overview/ Your desktop will be just fine of course π

These beasties, readily available here, but a desktop has added advantages if being highly expandable. https://www.amazon.com/intel-nuc/s?k=intel+nuc
-
Why not get a NUC style mini-PC? Many / most will hang on to the VESA mounting holes on the back of a standard monitor. All the space saving of an AIO and none of the disadvantages.

Is it in one of the accepted formats? If you PM your pic to me I'll try to attach. Send me the original larger file too, I'll scale it. EDIT is this the image you want?

Do you have a link for that heater? It looks like it might be suitable for a kitchen sink installation for which I need one.

How about a solar car port on a budget?
Crossy replied to Crossy's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Numbers for December and 2024 overall π Solar saving for 2024 = 73,699Baht and since we started solar in 2020 that's a total of 249,691Baht that we have not paid to PEA. π
