    Had similar experiences over the years—kids pissing directly into pool, pushing n shoving, excessive noise and general bad manners etc etc. They don’t give a F about anyone else and generally make for awful tourists, creating angst, inconvenience and annoyance for all. And yes, their presence rarely benefits any other Thai bar those in on the scam. That Xi character’s got a lot to answer for for letting them out!

    Found US immigration (land and air) particularly bad, and talking 20+ years ago. Departing security check lines aside, never had an issue at Suvarnabhumi, but imagine it’s a nightmare right now.

    RCBO/RCD can also be knacked after a number of trips. The current (no pun intended) fault might have sent it over the edge... you likely have some leakage on an outdoor circuit as crossy says. Should be the first thing your sparky would check.

    Any incoming party that successfully outlawed it probably wouldn’t last more than one term, having upset swathes of the populace and lost a lot of people a lot of money.

    Be alright 99% of the time but, as pointed out, upset someone (in particular a kompooteeer shop owner) then there is the potential. If it ever came down to having your collar felt, just offer the to fix the copper’s’ kompooteeers too. ????

    The Chinese are funny. They do not have the enthusiasm, experience or mettle to properly take on the big boys and potentially risk all. It is all hot air for-domestic consumption… their affairs are currently a mess. Even Taiwan—as much as it pains them—would risk crippling sanctions just for, what, a bit of face and some chips? I think not. Do what you do best; keep on copying / stealing intel and making lots of money, but be careful what you wish for.
