  1. ^^^ Indeed. A coup/rewrite of constitution/extended illegal rule is the ultimate betrayal. Try convincing the tired narrative on here of the injustice. ‘Oh, but but but, he made some money out of a swamp and we can’t have that, yada yada’. Lol. Deary me.
  2. That's coz they keep popping up in the wrong place.
  3. You'll never convince the fuddy-duddies and them that don't think the earth is round otherwise. ????
  4. Rookie error, people are earning 10x more etc ad nauseam. The point is being ripped off from what the price should be. I’ve also experienced dodgy meters, and not to mention the Phuket debacle. If you’re ok with that, up to you.
  5. Shame to miss out just because of the taxis. It’s not my fav place, but bringing Pattaya into the topic lol. But yes, the Phuket taxi mafia are pondlife. I wish them all the bad luck in the world.
  6. For those benefitting from their money maybe, but for everyone else? Bring back covid!
  7. Tens of millions? Really? Be hard pushed for there to have been 10m since the place was a thing. Granted, still not a huge amount of deaths, but nonetheless many iffy ones. Nomsod & co no doubt. Perhaps compare with how many dodgy deaths there have been in Koh Phangan or Phi Phi for instance.
  8. I’ve encountered bad manners from Americans too. Randomly asking for the time on the street with no thanks etc. Must be a cultural thing. Not a patch on the Russians though, and they don’t need defending. That you got a smile off a random bit of skirt for oddly settling her bill does not make up a million other antisocial acts. They do not fit in with the rest of the world, expecting everyone else to bend to their ways, much like the typical Chinese. Planet earth would be better off sans either.
  9. Nope. I take everything they say and do with a pinch of salt, much like the RTP. They’re full of it and do all this blathering for face and job justification. Donkeys.
  10. Also interested in this. Hoping he’s mincemeat already. Anyone elaborate?
  11. Nice, no chips on your shoulder. Article is not bad advice. In the past, have found feigning ignorance of Thai and anything they say in English can cause them some frustration and move you along out of their hair. Sort of like: Q. Where you live? A. Eh? Q. Where come from? A. Wot? Q. How long you stay? A. Huh! Tried this many moons ago and was eventually told to go away lol.
  12. Bangkok police offer public apology, but do not admit to extortion We are very sorry that you got inconvenienced and had to pay all that money for nothing. However, we did absolutely nothing wrong. Never. Not us. Honest. TRUST US! lol ????????
  13. Yep, asking for it. Guessing first time in Thailand. What a donkey!
  14. Agree in part. Bent as a nine bob note, but at least Thailand moved forward and the palms of the ordinary man got greased. Anyone who fancies the current political climate is either thick, deluded or just lost.
  15. Can believe it. Amazing place. Only wished I'd revisited just after covid... before all the hordes from 'that place' rediscover it. Yuck.
  16. Folk who say screw Google are one step away from flat-earth territory ????
  17. You or someone on your network have likely been compromised and are sending numerous requests.
  18. Lol indeed. This guy cannot debate. He is not a politician. He is a supposed soldier boy with very limited brain power—not that politicians have a brain of course, but they are generally good with words. This character will just shut you down when he is losing. Would love to see him in a live ‘debate’ on stage with his nemesis Thaksin so he loses maximum face.
  19. Maybe not in this case, but urotherapy is apparently a thing. Personally haven’t done it—it does sound gross—but know folks that have… dabbing pee and fixing a festering wound when nothing else worked, eg. Also wouldn’t take the words of some medical body as gospel, whose vested interest is to make money pushing pharmaceuticals. The body should know how to sort itself… proper fasting has some big benefits etc.
  20. One hears what one wants to hear I guess. It’s a shame the average hooman is so detached from nature and the universe. Certainly preferable over the constant din of those clanky, smoke-belching metallic things known as cars. These guys are likely calling to others in their flock to make sure they’re there. Mass gatherings: safety in numbers. Likely the myna or starling yes. I miss CM’s birds.
