  1. They can be as filthy, or more so, than a three-toed ugly old man. Moved into this semi-nice place many moons ago as the previous tenant—a pretty (fairly young), professional (no, not bar girl) was in the process of moving out. What an absolute sty she’d left it in. Needless to say, it was a good few hours before they got it presentable enough.
  2. Like how the comments nonchalantly dismiss it as trivial, like they wouldn’t be pooing their pants flying with this bunch, then this happens (‘it’s not normal, probably aircon condensation’ etc…) and the plane turns back! Was looking at alternatives from Europe a while back and this Scoot popped up. Ok if you fly with absolutely no weight (and don’t breathe probably) but with all the add ons ad nauseam—which made AirAsia look good even—and all the ‘extras’ one would typically get with a standard flight with a NORMAL airline, it worked out about the same lol. Mickey Mow airline.
  3. Oh dear, you are one of those! Never mind. I would sooner have Kermit the Frog running things than what Thailand has had to put up with, and so would 99.999% of Thai people. There is absolutely no argument for the current regime. Digital wallets? What ever are you on about? Do us all a favour and stop posting tat about how you think this country should be run because we’ve had the same rubbish for the last NINE years!
  4. The legal Thai weed market is still new and thus relatively expensive; the US scene (legal or otherwise) is matured and extensive. Local weed can still be got cheaply in Thai, but those shops whinging about being undercut clearly need to draw down their prices in the face of competition. They have already made big profits.
  5. Not only does the gov not deserve its tourists the way it herds them as cattle, it also views its own the same.
  6. Nope. I'm not young anymore, probably still mildly handsome (someone's gotta be ), but it's happened/would have happened on a number of occasions without even trying. It helps majorly if one has Thai friends and can speak a bit I guess.
  7. What tragic news! A diamond on this site... always quick to reply to messages and help others out. RIP mate.
  8. Indeed. Best not to get wound up though, it won’t do any good. Hopefully he will expire soon.
  9. Perhaps he was just moving out. What a donkey though, should’ve tossed him out too. This will please the reefer madness lot and that weirdo chuwit.
  10. You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone, Steven. Always found it kinda queer those that revel in Thailand’s oft illogical quirks. Think about the unawares tourists just off the boat looking for fun. Tf has an election got to do with them? Teetotallers/juice drinkers need not apply.
  11. ^^^ Don’t think they’d be installing them on the runway… though you never know. ????
  12. Good. Anything to put off hordes of them drowning the place again!
  13. Perhaps it's classed as a bungalow and thus a 'cheap' design compared to a full two-storey house... or summat. There's often hidden logic behind such things. ????
  14. Tough crowd here as you know. As suggested, best off looking on local Thai FB groups. Guessing to clear 100k, would need to be in one of the better spots with big sale/rent prices. Best time to buy was during covid.
  15. Always out Uk on British passport and in Thailand on Thai, but show the airline the Thai pp to satisfy check in staff of their obligation to ensure they are not letting people fly without a Thai visa/Thai pp. That you filled in info online with your Thai pp is fine. Whatever you do, don’t stamp into Thailand using British pp, but we all know that. ????
  16. It frequently does, though a few hundred disgruntled fogies compared to several hundred million normal people is no biggie ????
  17. Dear Thailand, stop getting tat from China and pick a side. Better off with a canoe with an outboard lol.
  18. Really? Never got his contrived humour but each to their own. Just hope he stays up there.
  19. Are we on the same page? Limit I hope they do. Who cares what the rules are for. Much of their money goes right back home. Thais never see it. Generally, they do not help the economy as much as, say, a lone westerner (dare I say it) backpacker putting their money about into markets and local eateries. While I feel for the genuine Chinese traveller, the million zero dollar folk can go and do one and stay home!
  20. Ok, got the cheap durian home smell-free… meanwhile, has to get car doors resprayed! ????
  21. Traffic was a nightmare when the place was quiet. Please keep all those quality tourists there ???? Btw did anyone pick up some super cheap condos during covid?
  22. Buddha give us strength! And folk will buy into this rubbish and spend more money they cannot afford. I know some live for the lotto and it gives people a measure of relief in life, but it is nothing more than state sponsored gambling. A tax for the poor and the stupid. ????
  23. Despite what some would try to have you believe, the CCP only acts to ultimately enrich and empower themselves. The speech is stuffed with fluffy and superfluous words meant to woo the unsuspecting. The place will be flooded with more cheap tat which will benefit the very few—mostly Chinese and some bigwig Thais—and will unlikely improve the lives of ordinary Thais. Why would they go to such great effort and expense otherwise? Faster trains would be nice but at what cost to the nation? What's the old adage about selling one’s soul to the devil? ????
  24. Thailand tops the list of destinations for the return of Chinese May Day travellers Great, looking forward to it. ????????
