  1. All he said is 'I'm back already' but he used 'ku' for 'I'. This is what a dictionary says about ku:

'the 1st person singular pronoun, an old word form, now considered overly familiar'

so <deleted> is a complete mistranslation.

    How to Interpret it?
    Depends on the context.
An acquaintance of me, climbed next to me in a bar, on a bar chair and said after three days of alcoholic abstinence, exactly the same words:
    “I Am F-cking Back”

    Cheers

  2. “Mr. Chalerm stressed that his work would not interfere with the police operations or other existing governmental war rooms.”

So in what capacity is he now?

A Caretaker Minister of Labour working now (again) as a DSI police officer?

Is he now justified to wear and use a weapon, when he is in duty?

Use he now his chairman DSI seat for special cases to make labour politics?

Legislative and executive authority in personal union.

These are no conflicts of interest, this is rather more a banana republic full of alcoholics.

  3. I would like to see real charges against real corruption not some BS vote in Parliament violation. A complete

load of crap and waste of time. Belittles the fight against real corruption. bah.gif

I think it is not waste of time to see evidence and to have a documentation.
    This is corruption high end.
Whery clean. No dirty farmer hands.
    Nice shirts, suits and watches.

Here you can see, how they voting.

"I give you my voting card for 1 Million ok?"
    One people - One vote?

Any comment on the decision by the CC to determine that the PTP whilst proposing the senate bill had violated Section 68, that is to "overthrow the democratic regime of government with the King as Head of State" but not do anything about it? Basically an act of Treason?

Just a tad more serious than MP's voting on behalf of fellow MP's having a fag break out back.

Does that seem like a reasonable judgement by a level headed selection of judges charged with protecting the Countrys' Constitution? I mean, Really?

One does not have to look into the depth of the Constitution to see a punishable violation.
    As you wrote:
"Just a tad more serious than MP's voting on behalf of fellow MP's having a fag break out back."
The owners of the voting cards were not even there!
The absent owners of the voting cards did not know for which amendment their voting cards were used,
because there were some last minute changes, of which the owners of these voting cards knew nothing.
I would banish both groups from the Parliament forever.
A.) Those who have given their voting cards away to other MPs.
Irresponsible and not worthy to sit in a parliament.
B.) Those who have used from other - not present - MPs voting cards for voting.
Abuse of power from voting rights.
This has no democratic moral or ethics.

  5. Guilty of Perjury before the court can include a little jail time, but you have to get them prior to the statue of limitation date.. Well that "little lie" seems to have been exposed as perjury, wonder what the rest of the copy cats will come up with?

When this group and their supporters try to use the judicial system to enforce their rules, while they ignore every rule of government, morality and social behavior, you kind of lose confidence in what Thai society is striving for.

    Yes, unfortunately.
    Why not immunity is waived.
5 years banishment is not enough.
Immoral and corrupt politicians have nothing to fear.
They do not have to lose something in this system.
They give a shit about their reputation, there main thing is true only the money.
This type of unethical people can be punished with harsh money penalties fines.
First, a hard check: all finances and assets.
Then check for plausibility: previous income / assets / tax declaration of last years.

Then at least fine them. Take half away there assets and put it in a fund for needy children and elderly.

    Only that would bring deterrence.

  6. Hopefully the court judges with a variety of parliamentary requirements to be met in the future, no matter who is in power at the moment.
Like for all future budgeting processes they make it compulsory for all future governments, that
    - the use of money for project proposals are accurately represented in detail and coherent on the last baht.
    - the use of money for project proposals is described in detail for all people publicly documented and visible
    - Public monthly or quarterly reports on Finance and project progresses.
    - Public invitation for project proposals and at least three competitive compare offers.
    - Project completion reports including all expenses with receipts.
    - a strong supervisory committee composed of members is formed by all parties,
to control the entire investment process without disabilities and time delay restrictions.
The results of the process and progress checks are presented to the parliament.
The members of the supervisory body should rotate so that corruption is impossible or more difficult.
When public funds are used, then the public has the right to see what the representatives of the people plan to do with the money and how it was used.
It must be prevented that a country can be completely plundered by a few unethical people just because they are currently in power.

Democracy requires transparency and not dubious vote in the middle of the night for the largest credit since the existing of Thailand,

with a term of 50 years. In fact, affected at least three generations in a row.

With compound interest, it is then 6 trillion baht.

This government has no ethics and no morals to society.

Right, this and former governments has no ethics to society , and will never have, as it is in the Thai culture....

But the only government that really invested in huge infrastructure in Thailand was and is the Taksin governments, airport(s), highway, airport link, sky trains, all what we see and use of high end infrastructure, so hopeful also high speed rail system.

During the years of undemocratic government with Abhisit as PM, nothing was build up, only debts.

Let's wait to what the court comes up with, maybe there is a good financial plan and the payback of the loan could be done by income from the investments, so not to quickly with calculating for tax payers in generations.

“Right, this and former governments has no ethics to society”
    I agree
To lament the past, who built which road, is interesting for historians, but helps now little.
Much more important is what is happening today and in the future.
The bill for the loan was exactly 4 pages long. Without reasonable load testing and

without accurate conceptual content and without a projection is such a loan application itself unconstitutional and not only the circumstances!

There are far more important things you can do with that money, for example,

Schools and hospitals modernize, to ensure drinking water supply, repair roads and environmental protection.

The state money should benefit all Thais equally and not only a few.

  7. 10 kg of rotten rice free per protestor and the rest to thai prisoners

    riceberg should be gone

Nope, so much they can not eat, the dimension is gigantic.
Unfortunately, there are no concrete / verified figures on the size of the rice mountain published and also

the dimension of loss from this $%& idiotic rice scheme at all.

I guess it is until today 800 Billion Baht.
    Loss = 800.000.000.000 Baht = 800.000 x 1.000.000 Baht
Lets say they have now around 15 Million Ton milled rice in stock.
How many are rotten or/and how much of it really exists (double and triple bookings, nepotism, scams, etc.)

nobody know. They just do not come out with clear numbers.

    15.000.000 Mio tons x 1.000 = 15.000.000.000 kilo
Lets say we have 5 Million protesters and 0,5 Million prisoners
so everybody can eat 2727 Kilo rice; 2,7 tons per person!
So your solution would bring little.
    Anyway.
They must solve this problem, this madness, as soon as possible.
The consequential damage will be tremendous.
Now the polluters try evade responsibility.
    No way
They belongs into jail for crimes against society.
    Irresponsible behavior towards society.
Typically representatives of the people are obliged to keep away harm from society.
However, the do the exact opposite, just only to enrich there group of family and friends.

They give a shit on society and starving fellow citizens.

  8. If this were a private airline, they would already bankrupt.
But the taxpayers covered so far the losses.
Nepotism, corruption, incompetent management and innovation inability bring the losses.
As long as the state airline is a retirement place for outworn politicians and old state officials, no change will come.
The competition in aviation has become much harder in the past 10 years.
On long routes the subsidized Arab airlines (Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Gulf, Oman, Kuwait) take over more and more market shares.
On short ranges the budget airlines (Air Asia) are increasingly taking over market shares.
In the freight aviation Thai is missing to have topnotch logistics know-how like Lufthansa Cargo.
The same applies for the maintenance business. Sad but true.
May they try to copy Vietnam Airline or CEBU Airline more.
  9. From the photo posted with the story, the " meeting " appears to be going very well.

cheesy.gif Good one, Scamper. This meeting and others, they have called recently. I have yet to see THEIR millions of supporters, in one place cheesy.gif

At least, in this picture, the people are a little easier to count and there shouldn't be hours of discussion, on how many were in this picture.

    ........

I for one am glad that foreigners cannot own land here because all the land would be bought up in less than six months by foreign elements, and we all know it.

    .......

    That is not true.

In the past until today, many Chinese companies and investors have bought farmland.

The family relationships are fluent Thai, Thai-Chinese and Chinese.

  10. Minister Warathep Ratanakorn
"The matter would be discussed today at the meeting, he said."
    WOW, Nice.
That will certainly save the financial situation of the nation.
I would not even entrust you to hold the keys for our company toilets!
    Minister Niwatthamrong
"The minister said the government has set aside 270 billion baht."
So why many farmers must wait since 5 month for the money?
Hope everyone enjoyed his coffee, but the information policy of this government about this $%& rice scheme
is like a severe prostate disease, with a large swelling on Harnstrang.
The bladder is filled with fetid urine, but the information only come out in small drops

  11. Oh and they cant sell the stockpiles as this would be at a loss and a caretaker government cannot borrow money from the treasury and or approve any austerity measures... come on people, lets get the facts.

Name me a government who has not made mistakes? Tony Blair, George Bush, Kevin Rudd, Barack Obama... Hmm its easy to focus on a target when it is close to where we live, but what would we be whinging at back at home? Maybe if certain persons are not happy under Thailands various governments they should simply go home.... Hang on in good conscience could you do that when Thaksin was partly responsible for building Suva A/Port. No the man never did any good what so ever!

    @C....nut

Maybe you have not noticed yet. Many TV posters have children here and pay taxes!

Illegal insider trading on the stock market is also a term which you also have not heard?

    and

What do you do with a thief you catch at night in your house?

  12. So Somchai Wongsawat said the truth?
The one that was banned for politics for 5 years, Thaksin's brother in law, husband of Yaowapa,
now is in charge of collecting tax revenue in the country of Thailand.

Somchai Wongsawat said that excise tax collected in Q1 of the 2014 fiscal year falls beneath its goal.
According to Mr. Somchai, the main resource for excise tax comes from alcoholic beverage,

Now i must read that Thailand is the top alcohol-consuming country in ASEAN

Why the goverment then, can not reach there Q1 2014 fiscal year excise tax goal?

    Strange!
  13. 5. Mr. Chaikasem Nitisiri
    Again on PT Party List.
    The Attorney General is selected
by an independent panel and confirmed by the legislature; he
is not accountable to the Justice Minister. Current Attorney
    General Chaikasem Nitisiri began his term on October 1, 2007;
he is due to retire in September, when he hits the official
retirement age of 60. (Comment: PPP's strong plurality in
the legislature may imperil the candidacy of any future
nominee for Attorney General who is known to be hostile to
    Thaksin's interests. End Comment.)

    28/08/2012
However, the NACC decided to set up a new committee to investigate six state officials to find out if they
had acted in a way to demand bribes in the purchase of the airport baggage scanners.

They are Srisuk Chandrangsu, former transport permanent secretary who was chairman of the New Bangkok International Airport (NBIA), Gen Somchai Somprasong, NBIA deputy chairman, Chaikasem Nitisiri, former attorney general, and NBIA board members Therdsak Sethamanop, Supadej Poonpipat and ACM Narongsak Sangkhapong.

  14. It is really stupid, isn´t?
Why they not organize a statewide signatures action?
    A simple petition.
    Statewide!
    Like
I agree that in future no criminals and/or corrupt people can work in government, parliament or as a civil servant.
    Yes / No
It will be excluded, from now on, all persons from the Parliament, which
    a have criminal records.
    b running free on bail.
c were already banned from parliament in the past.
d against are corruption or crime cases opened.
    I agree Yes / No
I guess in 1 Week they can get a lot of signatures from all parts in Thailand.

The problem with your masterplan is, that would leave Thailand with absolute NO politicians at any level!

Which actually could be a blessing in disguise!!coffee1.gif

That is for me zero problem!

If all rotten eggs are out!

Thailand have a lot of honest people.

Let them rule and not the criminals.

    That is so funny!

    Thailand ruled by honest people.

When is the next blue moon? smile.png

A Government / Parliament free of corruption must surely be the goal.
I am sure that the majority of Thai wants to have a government / parliament /
administration, that is free of criminals and corrupt people.
What we are experiencing now, is that the criminals have for decades the country in a stranglehold for their own interests.

They are unethical and not go willingly!

Instead of sitting around everyday on the streets, they should prefer to organize a referendum/ petition.
A very simple instrument of grassroots democracy
So let us dream from the blue moon.
    Imagine you can get 10 - 20 - 30 million signatures together for a corruption-free Parliament.
The media were reporting on, the CC, the NACC, the EC and the society would discuss it.
The documentation of the peoples will is important.
Corrupt and criminals at the top of a society you can get away, only with a grass-roots democracy,

because many many positions which should guarantee the democratic mechanism're currently occupied with unethical people.

Why so long these unethical people were able to keep at the top?
Because they have always operated the division of society.
    North against south
    red against yellow
    rich against poor.
This is their strategy to enrich themselves.
The times are changing. Internet, smart phones and globalization.
The synchronization of the traditional media (TV and print) gets holes.

    Other critical information is available.

To hold the mass in stupidity works not longer so easy.

Now, people ask: What happens to our state money?
That Suthep (and all Thais know about his dirty past) has put this movement in gear, I find not bad.
But now the movement need a clear plan.
Hope that more and more honest people raise there voices.
Make a petition that confirms that the majority do not want in the future criminals and/or corrupt people in government, parliament or as a civil servant.
That woud be good for the country.
