I have never had to pay a deposit at any Hop Inn, may be the policy has changed. I love their towels, I looked at the tag on a towel to see what brand. It says " Hop Inn" .

On your TV do you find "Clear Voice" option? On Panasonic do you find " Dynamic EQ " or "Dynamic Volume" option? Try to set those options on/off . I have LG TV and Onkyo amp so I am not familiar with Samsung/ Panasonic system. Just trying to be helpful.

I think you will like Hop Inn. Those in Bangkok probably cost more. Last trip I stayed at Hop Inn Khon Kean and Nongkai, 620B. Free cappuccino from the coffee machine at the lobby was actually very good.

I enjoyed my stay at Luang Prabang very much. Took an inexpensive room in the historic district, walked to restaurants, cafes and the night market. Streets are quiet and clean. Kuang Si Waterfall is about 50 minutes out of town, I have not seen another waterfall more beautiful. Water was blue. The mineral deposit help shaped the stone on which the water flowed smoothly as if it was not moving. From far the water fall looked like a white veil.

I have just returned to Pattaya from a road trip two days ago. I took my car to Vang Vieng, Laos. Tried the Vientiant-Vang Vieng highway. From Vang Vieng I took the high speed train to Luang Prabang.

If you are not a US citizen and not a US resident and you trade with a US based brokerage firm such as IB or Schwab, your capital gain from US stocks is not taxable by the US government and not Thai government if you do not report the income as transferred into Thailand the same year. If you trade with a Thai broker, you better ask about the taxes on dividends and capital gains. Schwab and IB offer excellent services at low low fees, and their online websites are user friendly. Just about everything can be done online.

your ATM card also works at other Thai banks. I have not have a Thai bank ATM card for years. I have a credit card from Bangkok Bank, able to withdraw cash from my BBK savings account. Cardless withdraw cash at any BBK ATM too. QR code payment whenever possible. Never missed not having an ATM card.

You can open a US based brokerage account online with Interactive Brokers or Schwab https://international.schwab.com/open-account-intro. S&P 500 index is up 15% YTD, up 61% in last 5 years and 226% in last 10 years. Last year was nerve wrecking even for me as an experienced long term investor.

I took my first tax refund check to KTB. The bank gave me an e-money card to withdraw the money from the ATM outside the branch. I have been doing the same every year with the refund checks. I don't believe I opened a bank account there. I don't understand fully what is an e-money card, may be it's similar to a gift card or a prepaid credit card.

I assume you are buying a motorbike. You need a COR at DLT for name transfer. To open a bank account you will need another one. Try you luck, ask a few branches, if you're lucky you may not need a COR to open an account. In Dec last year SCB at Lotus Thepprasit/Suk told me retirement visa and driver's license will do.

Chaindrite 40EC is oil based, will stay on plants and top soil longer. MIx with 40 parts water. I use this around the house. I just use a watering can with a sprinkling head, dont need to spray.
