Too many of these "crane" incidents, someone needs to take control. Like once is bad luck, twice is coincidence, 3+, you have a bit of a problem, methinks.

Krathom trees grow wild here, even in urban areas, and many Thais know exactly where they're located; good luck with trying to control its use. Anyway, it's a pretty mild stimulant, never heard of anyone going Krathom crazy; my SO uses it when she has some particularly onerous physical task to perform.

Echoing a famous quote about another conflict, I'm guessing China has "escalatory dominance" where Taiwan is concerned; Thailand would be well advised to distance itself from that particular conflict.

I'll believe it when I next spend a day or two walking around BKK, and don't get a throat infection. Always intrigued me how I could smoke like a trooper with no problems, but a day or two in BKK would do for me every time; only happened in BKK, by the way, they sure have something special in the air there.

Maybe this guy knew what he was doing, maybe he didn't. Haven't had the inclination to go into all the gory details. I will only say that when I worked in a Thai school, and the girls put on a show (usually led by a katoey, incidentally), wearing makeup and stuff, they looked a hell of a lot older. Anyway, yeah, it's wrong, and the law should take its course, but such a lot of fuss and bother over a borderline case? Seems to me someone is trying to virtue signal, which is a joke, given we're talking about Pattaya. Love it or hate it, it ain't no Sunday school camp.
