You may not agree on the ones I mention here, in which case you simply do not understand how serious news outlets work. I used to work as a journalist and believe me when I tell you that New York Times and Washington Post have standards that any serious news outlet in other countries tries to emulate. There are many other serious outlets, those two are the best known to a foreigner like me. Someone earlier mentioned Hunter's laptop as an example that the mainstream media is biased. On the contrary, that case had many signs saying it was fake; thus they didn't publish. Not to protect Hunter. The same mainstream media didn't publish the Steele dossier because they could not verify it's claims. They did not do it to protect Trump. In both cases, they tried to protect the truth. Do the mainstream media make mistakes, surely, like everybody does. The difference is that they admit and correct their mistakes. An example: https://www.nytimes.com/international/section/corrections

I do not see that it contradicts anything I wrote. The problem is people reading and viewing outlets that are not serious news outlets; outlets that willingly and purposely spread lies and rumours. It has been clear for some time that USA has a cult (partly due to those outlets) and the usual way to get people out of a cult is to de-program them. Added: A way to de-program people can be to get them to read/view the serious news outlets.

I have never hears that Dems only want people to listen to MSM, I think you are making up stuff. In the serious news outlets, it doesn't matter which party, if any, a journalist is registered to; they have a big beautiful wall between news and opinion. Those outlets also value facts over lies and they try to check things before they publish and if not true or if they cannot confirm the things, they do not publish them.

If you cared to read my answer before answering it, you will see that I gave the same link. So, yes, I have read that page. That is also the page that says 12-15,000. They are not US citizens: https://www.usa.gov/who-can-vote

12-15,000 added to a population of 58,662 (in 2020). But why let reality cloud your mind. https://springfieldohio.gov/immigration-faqs/ https://data.census.gov/profile/Springfield_city,_Clark_County,_Ohio?g=060XX00US3902374118

What bias? That serious news outlet does not bring unverified rumours? I am sure they are trying to verify the story, but they will not bring it unless they can.

Or worse still, my wife put it in a safe place, and didn't tell me where. Or worse still, your wife put it in a safe place, and she told you where - but you´re too old to remember. -

I I did but I didn't have to as I did not upload a copy of the ticket, only gave them the flight number and a date. I did submit my application a couple of months before, but I was not told to do so. They took almost three weeks to handle the application, but I think it would have been faster if I have applied closer to my intended departure. I applied in Denmark using the evisa webpage.

Maybe that is the case for a person living in Thailand; however, for a winter bird the DTV is a lot better than the Non-O with multiple entries I used to get. It costs less, and I do not need to leave Thailand after 90 days. There is one uncertainty, though, the number of years you get when renewing a driving license. One member has reported he got five years, if that holds true, I see no downside of the DTV for a winter bird.

Swift endorsement turns more voters from harris than it attracts…
farang51 replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
I am sure the usual suspects in here will agree with you if they saw the answers to some of the other questions in the poll. The poll had a lot of questions, not only about Taylor Swift; however, for some reason the New York Post did not mention all of them in that article. For instance, they did not mention who the poll said won the debate: 4. Who do you think won Tuesday’s presidential debate? Kamala Harris . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 46% Donald Trump . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 19% A tie . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9% Not sure . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12% https://ygo-assets-websites-editorial-emea.yougov.net/documents/Reactions_to_Harris_Trump_Debate_poll_results.pdf- 397 replies

DTV and 5-year driver's license
farang51 replied to moana's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He had a five year license. What you get depends on your visa, if you renew a five year license on a tourist visa you only get two years. The DTV is new and technically it is a tourist visa; thus, there have been some debate whether it gives you two or five years. -
Despite what you believe, the moderaters in the past debates have been neutral, not only in the last two debates but going back many years. There will always be some viewers - on both sides - that believes the moderaters should have asked question they didn't ask or that they should have behaved different. But generally, they have been neutral. A debate on Fox with opinion hosts will not be neutral. There may be hosts from the news side of Fox that can be neutral, but certainly not an opinion host like Hannity.

That is the way you make a deal. If you feel that he got a bad deal, then you have to accept that he is not the best at making deals. You cannot have it both ways. Personally, I do not think he got a bad deal; but he surely bombed at the debate. Not because of the deal but because he is who he is. So far, she has offered a new debate; he is the one walking away without even trying to make a deal. Understandable, I wouldn't want another clobbering either, if it was me. He may change his mind, though, when new polls show him behind in the swing states.

Read the post above yours. Trump didn't have to agree to anything if he didn't want to. He knows better than most "when to walk away from the table", according to his book.

So, they were better at making a deal than Trump.

Are you saying Biden and Harris are better at making a deal than Trump?

Worst Joke Ever 2025

May I suggest that it is about time that he retire? To those giving a sad emoji: Seriously? The guy must at least be in his late 90's, I for one would not border a plane with him as a pilot. ... Or, the joke is very old and in dire need for an update 😁
