  1. You will get the email within minutes. Print it or save the PDF on the phone so you have access to it even if you cannot access your mailbox.
  2. WITHIN 3 days. You cannot do it earlier, you can do it from 3 days before arrival and until you queue at immigration in Thailand.
  3. Agreed, the GOP needs time to secure solid conservative values like free trade, a strong NATO, free speech, and the rule of law!
  4. It is not mandatory as many travellers do not have a visa. If you do have a visa, it may be a good idea to write the visa number, as it may make the process through immigration faster.
  5. Not good hair - great hair! Yeah, very much satirical, using the same arguments as the anti-vaxxer on a different subject to illustrate how silly those arguments are.
  6. I misremembered when the asterisks appeared. They are working to improve the formular, there have been some changes in the last few days, so, perhaps everything will work fine for the official launch.
  7. When I fill out the departure date (and mode of transport) I get the red asterisks for the remaining departure details. Yes, I can remove the departure date; however, the asterisks does not disappear when I remove the departure date. I have to start all over again to remove them.
  8. You do not have to fill the departure details on the TDAC; however, if you do fill out the departure date, you will also have to fill out the details. At the moment, if you fill out the departure date it is not possible to delete it unless you start all over again.
  9. So they say. That would be a disaster. They have to have a backup in case the traveller for some reason cannot present the QR-code. Be it lack of ability, internet, or power on the mobile. It can happen to everyone; I went to Malaysia shortly after they introduced their version. I filled the form and loaded the email on the phone so it was ready to present at arrival. However, when unlocking the phone, it tried to access the internet and wouldn't show the email when there were no internet. Thus, I had to use their backup system - a guy filling the form for me on his phone. No free internet at arrival back then. I plan to bring a printed QR code when arriving in Thailand next time.
  10. You can do it after arriving too; just as it was possible to get a TM6 form at immigration if you didn't get it on the flight. It will, of course, mean that you will spend more time in the airport before you are able to go through immigration.
  11. Ammending the constitution and setting it aside are two very different things.
  12. So, you are content if it is only the end of the constitution? The democracy in the US is very much under threat at the moment, even if Trump does not sets aside the constitution and is elected a third time, Putin style.
  13. Yeah, nothing as fun as the end of democracy and the constitution in the USA.
  14. You can show proof of the money in a foreign account, it does not have to be a Thai bank.
  15. I was not asking, I was pointing out that ericthai was wrong when he said that the DTV is a non-immigrant visa. It is, indeed, as you say and as BrandonJT said earlier, a "special tourist visa".
  16. Please tell Phuket Provincial Transport Office, then maybe I can get 5 years on the next renewal of my driver's license.
  17. It is not the counting that is a problem, it is the knowing that you have to count. I don't know if they inform you with the other long stay possibilities but you are not told about the 90 days report when you apply for the DTV. Anyway, as written earlier in the thread, you will be informed when filling in the new digital arrival card; thus, going forward everybody should know and not only the people in here and in other forums.
  18. I agree. I knew already when I got the DTV but people not using aseannow or other relevant forums probably wouldn't know. There is no official info anywhere about the requirement for a 90 day report when you get the DTV. I do not know if they inform you when you get other long term visas. However, it seems that when you fill out the new arrival card online, you are informed that you have to do the 90 day report if you stay longer than 90 days.
  19. I can relate. I never drive my motorcycle with a helmet and I never had an accident, and I am a healthy person. I never let my kids use a helmet either; and they are all healthy and never had an accident. The fact is that a helmet is not necessary; on the contrary, it is dangerous. Your hearing is limited, thus, you cannot hear the cars; and your vision is limited so that you cannot see coming dangers from the sides. Not to mention that a helmet messes up your hair! I am sure all that info on accidents are totally made up, I never had one and the kids never had one. We are all healthy and have great hair. The headline of this thread should read: Helmets kill
  20. I know, I was joking. Turns out the Trump voters gave up democracy for nothing.
  21. But ... at least he got the egg prices down. Besides, from certain people in here, we know that Trump loves peace so of course he would not threaten Greenland, a close northern neighbour, and other countries. I wonder when those people open their eyes and see the many signs that the US in on the way to become a totalitarian state.
  22. Only on the good Sundays; once a year, when we were not working in the coal mines from 3 in the morning to 9 in the evening. Ah, those Sundays were like holidays back then, not like the hardship on the weekdays.
  23. Reminds me of Sunday school back home ...
  24. And 10-20 years from now, those that are arriving now will write a post somewhere complaining that Phuket is not the same as it used to be and they will be longing for the good old days in 2025.
