What's the Sheilas like? Do they have the Ashes on the telly?

The red-light areas are quiet, other parts of town are reasonably busy. There are more Chinese and Indian evident and English speaking visitors from SE Asia so Singapore and Malaysia presumably. Weekend events bring the locals in - a fruit fair last weekend, a marathon upcoming. The flag following Chinese tour groups are not back and they are a big miss for many Thai businesses such as boat hire, beach businesses of various types and F&B companies big and small. There are some big construction projects ongoing in expectation of bigger numbers coming in future years.

1st Class Sleeper Train Bangkok to Chiang Mai , take a look

Twelve and a half hours - it must stop at every one buffalo town en-route. I have done Bangkok to Nong Khai and it was 4 hours late setting off, cooked food was practically inedible and a very drunk Thai soldier on board waving his pistol around made the experience a one and only one for me. -

Nothing wrong with adjusting a dish to suit local tastes. It happens all over the world. Sausage and/or cheese loaded crusts are another adjustment by the same company. Don't like, don't order. -
Employees take precedence over paying customers. The tail is wagging the dog.

He lives in an old peoples' home in Vegas now. Strippers come and give a show once a week just to keep the pulse racing - or not if they're too far gone. Time catches up with everyone, alas.

Mine wouldn't. Scared it comes back to haunt them.

Juristic and Immigration offices won't sign either; we live in fearful times.

Whilst all these politicians are investigating and impeaching each other, who is actually governing the country? The UK seems to be going the same way too. Some politicians seem to think that people are really engaged with all this back and forth whilst the truth of it is that most are sick to death of it. School yard antics.

You have to stay in and read a book because it is too smoggy to go outside.

Same as Bali Hai pier park. Someone must have had a few dozen tins of blue paint left over.

DK Books on Klang near Beach Road was a decent place. Covid did for them and a Japanese restaurant occupies the site now.
