I am optimistic that Pita will be PM and form a Government. He will garner enough votes from MPs and Senators to become PM. I think the US, for sure, plus other Western Governments have laid it out plainly that Thailand will be a pariah status state if the democratic will of the people does not prevail. Prayut and Prawit have made no inflammatory statements; they understand the consequences. It's diplomacy and won't make the media headlines.

At least they are not being told to close down every Wednesday. When/if the Chinese return en masse the Thais will stop coming to Pattaya and go to Baeng Saen instead, like they did pre-Covid. Then, there will be nowhere for all the coaches to park.

I know that many Thais do help these unfortunate people with food, clothes and cash. The lady in the OP often hops onto a baht bus and pays her fare when she gets off. I think she collects empty plastic bottles and cashes them in somewhere.

This particular lady gets down to Beach Road as well giving all the benefit of her opinion including about her farang boyfriend (poor him) and the current Government. My other half advises that she is from a wealthy family and she is always dressed in decent clean clothes.

It's a political revenge thing. MFP used to be OK with cannabis but, when Anutin's BJT party failed to support MFP's bill proposing micro-breweries, MFP did an about turn and now oppose cannabis. Tit for tat.

Just to update the location, though I am sure it has been mentioned in other threads. No longer at Avenue Mall but is now at Central Festival mall at the Beach Road end. I think it is on floor 4, if memory serves me correctly.
