  1. Toney should have been in the England squad along with your lad Gallacher on loan at Palace. Both have been excellent so far this season and were at least worth a game v Andorra.
  2. Try Pattaya City hospital on Soi Buakhao. Get your lady to call them first or just drop by if it is local for you. She will get an appointment for a later date. Good luck.
  3. I have seen how my local Immigration office treats peoples' personal information, using it as scrap paper with no respect or regard to the security or privacy of personal details. I will not willingly sign up to any Thai Government app.
  4. The Stock Market rose, not by much, mind you. Still uncertain times with a Government inclined to flip-flop out of the blue.
  5. A demolition event on a Saturday night would pack them in on the beach and be a real money spinner for the city. There should be a raffle for who gets to push the plunger.
  6. Please supply more details about your cheesebuger fetish. Does it involve a quarterpounder?
  7. Phuket and Khao Lak bounced back pretty well after the tsunami; Thais are incredibly resilient. Pattaya has plenty of investment from the EEC developments which have slowed but not stopped during Covid.
  8. Pattaya beach was busy today. I was near Soi 3 and 6 coaches were parked up from Bangkok in A-One's car park and both sides of Beach Road had full parking. Good for all the small traders and beach chair operators.
  9. What a fight! Fury is a true champ.
  10. Robin Hood Tavern at Avenue Mall is showing the fight and doing a breakfast buffet. Could be a good atmosphere, lack of booze notwithstanding. I will watch at home and will tune in at 8am for a 9am start.
  11. Please note that Canterbury Tales do not hand over cash for books but give a credit for you to use in the shop.
  12. Just read a report on the BBC about a share sell-off by the Glazers. Apparently it is the 2nd sell-off since the Euro Super League incident. Glazers will end up with just 69% of shares. Where are the rest going? Anyone in the know?
  13. I prefer Major at Avenue. T21 and Central are both SF cinemas.
  14. The film he should have made but never did: Honey I Banged the Kids.
  15. Saw the movie Wrath of Man at Major in Pattaya today. Starring Jason Statham and directed by Guy Ritchie, it is standard JS shoot 'em up fare. Jeffrey Donovan and Scott Eastwood give good support; Eastwood is a spit for his dad in the Spaghetti Westerns. It was an enjoyable enough film, though a little long. Roll on 007 later this week.
  16. Just as a side note my Old Codger discount card has expired so I had to renew for 50 Baht. Then got a free ticket to see Wrath of Man, "for birthday" said the nice lady, even though my birthday was over 3 months ago. Nice.
  17. That's a long one - said Miss Moneypenny. ????
  18. James Bond arrives at Major cinema complex on Thursday. No Time to Die, Rami Malek as the main villain. Reviews are good.
  19. Both those developments started pre-covid and work on them has been continuous throughout the pandemic. Blind faith or astute business acumen?
  20. Perhaps T21 believe that people will shop and/or eat in the mall before going to the beach or; more likely; before going home. Like all other malls they regularly hold events to tempt people in.
  21. I have, thank you. I was even around when it came out.
  22. No. What was there before T21 came along was a virtually derelict dump that needed pulling down and replacing. Paradise it was not; it was an eyesore.
