  1. During Songkhran in 2004 in Korat, I was walking with my wife and my daughter at the park in Yamoo when a woman and her disabled son (a Siamese) approached us and asked if her son could wish my daughter "Happy Songkhran (Sawasdee Songkhran)". I replied "Yes" and the boy took a bottle of water and sprayed a little bit of water on the wrists of my daughter and put a little bit of parfumed powder on her cheeks. I asked my daughter to do the same to the boy, which she did happily. This was the best Songkhran ever. Not the splashing buckets of water and ice cubes nor the power guns from today.
  2. Wonder how many people will die or be disabled for the rest of their life in the extra Songkhran days. Luckely, these extra days will bring more tourists money for the care of these people. What a <deleted> up country .....
  3. I guess "Mr. Man Like" identifies himself as a "Non Binary man alike lady boy"
  4. My knowledge of math is the 0.114 is LESS than 0,50. But I am not a Thai police nor an useless reporter.
  5. Why does Thailand keeps this charade going on????? If Mongkol is found to be intoxicated, the case should be handled over to the courts and not used to discuss the brown envellopes circus. That's the duty of the courts and not of the rotten police. Duty of the police is to parade trough Walking Streets looking for non-existing prostitutes and the safery of the tourists.
  6. If that comes from the same blind-folded police that waled trough Walking Street and found no prostitution, I don't give this story any credibility.
  7. That's the reason I installed a 5- filter to process the water before I drink it in Thailand. Even the water in bottles comes from such ponds.
  8. This incident adds oil to the fire of foreigners behaving badly in Thailand at a moment the already seen by the Thais as indesirable people. Soon <deleted> will hit the fan.
  9. What??????????????????? No foreigner involved?????? I am pretty sure that a foreigner told her to fake a kidnapping. Thai people don't do such things ....
  10. Maybe they should expand theeir territory? (There is no prostitution in Pattaya....)
  11. I don't know the English sentence for this saying. A similar sentence is: "wanneer men iemand kwaad wil doen, vindt men altijd wel een voorwendsel". Translated to English: "When one wants to do harm to someone, one always finds a pretext". It simply means that when somebody wants to find a reason to put you in bad daylight (to beat a dog) he/she will find a pretext (find a stick). Wikipedia gives about the same translation https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Dutch_proverbs : Wie een hond wil slaan, kan gemakkelijk een stok vinden. The one who wants to hit a dog can easily find a stick. Someone who wants to be mean will find things to be mean about no matter what. Source: Hiligsmann, Philippe; Theissen, Siegfried (2008). Néerlandais - Expressions et proverbes: Intermédiaire-avancé. De Boeck Supérieur. p. 84. ISBN 2804159671. So, I think that you should learn English.
  12. In my country we have a saying: "Als men een hond wil slaan, vind men een stok." Translated to English (literaly): "when you want to hit a dog you will find a stick".
  13. That's the reason why the red bull scion is still free. Because the police doesn't follow your rules.
  14. Most people here don't have a clue about traffic rules in Thailand. In Thailand it is the police who does the investigation AND the decision about who is right or wrong. So many cases where anyone would decide that driver A was right will turn after investigation by the police into driver A was wrong. Example: when a minor kid is involved driving a motorcycle without a helmet and in the wrong direction and the party who hit the motorcycle will be wrong. Sure, you can disagree with the decision of the police. I wish you good luck with that.
  15. There is no 100% innocence. Remember the rule that if I was not there, no accident would have happened. I followed the advice of the police and everyone was happy. A few years later I needed their help and they remembered my good will.
  16. Yes, I was "asked nicely" by the police after an accident where the other party was clearly in fault to foot the bill as I had the 1st Class Insurance and the other party had only the state insurance. I was assured by the police that there would be absolutely no implication for me I would accept the fault. On another accident, I hit a pedestrian and he was severely hurt, I called my lawyer and let him handle everything. Finallly, the pedestrian was declared in fault but, avoiding to putting him in more difficulties, I accepted to 50/50 fault and my insurance would pay his medical bills. My advice: if you have an accident, CALL YOUR LAWYER AND LET HIM HANDLE EVERYTHING!!!!
  17. I remember the case of a police officer severing a girls arm with a knife at a Karaoke bar. So, it is possible to severe an arm with a knife.

  20. His amulet was not working. He should file a complaint with Buddha.
  21. That's the reason why a MONKEY PROOF CAGE is build in most western factories to prevent access to a robot arm. But in Thailand they don't need security.
  22. And they are going to build a Nuclear Power Plant? God help us!!!
  23. AFTER being teached a lesson in decency in the Thai Hilton showers. A real man never hits a child or a woman. If your relationship is gone to the dogs for whatever reason, divorce nd move on with your life.
