When the pandemic first started Thailand's fear of the virus served them well. Fast forward to today and that fear still abounds and is greatly holding the country back from trying to return to a semi normal life style. They somehow seem to be clinging to the hope that attaining zero daily infections is still a very realistic target. If they don't see the light soon it will be too late and the damage their actions and regulations are causing on the economy will be beyond repair. The put it in layman's terms, they have completely lost the plot.

I bought a can of this a week or so ago and wasn't impressed. I do like to try new things, variety is the spice of life and all that, but beer Chang Espresso was a step to far. For me, the coffee taste completely over powered the beer so much so that it was like drinking alcohol coffee! Not for me but I'm sure others will like it....

The sad reality is the pandemic has made many people bankrupt. Some of these will inevitably turn to crime just to make ends meet. I'm not condoning this, it's just the way things are. Everyone needs to know this and keep their guard up at all times.

For me, blue registration book kept safely at home with a copy on my phone. Original Insurance documents I keep in my the car, with the sticker provided in the window. It is my opinion that it is best to have them with you just in case.... Remember that if your car was to be stolen then your insurance company still has all your details on computer.

Lived here 12 years now. Originally moved here to build a new life with my wife and to get away from the rat race back in my native UK. Regrets? I've had a few, but then again too few to mention...

Is the MorChana "app" a requirement or not?

Everything that connects to the internet "spy's" on you. Google probably knows more about you than you do yourself. You either except it or go back to living in the dark ages. -
New plan to handle covid posititve foreigners?
Dmaxdan replied to asiam110's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
If Thailand really wants to open up and try and move on from the pandemic then locking up asymptomatic cases in Covid prisons has to stop now. It is just persecuting people for catching a highly transmittable virus and clearly shows that the government has zero trust in it's own people to self isolate if infected. Field hospitals should only be used when the regular hospitals run out of beds and for patients who require actual treatment.- 30 replies

How did you meet your wife? First words?
Dmaxdan replied to Neeranam's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It was a blind date, no really! I have a long term Thai friend who has lived in England for 30 plus years and she was always determined to fix me up with a suitable Thai lady. So she did some calling around her family and friends, found a good candidate and arranged the meeting, unbeknown to me whilst I was on holiday in Chiang Mai. That was 2005 and my blind date and I have been happily together ever since with our 12th wedding anniversary fast approaching. I have no memory of what our first words were, 'hello, how are you" probably. It was quite a surreal day...- 147 replies
