Stabbing Incident in Pattaya Leaves Japanese Tourist Dead; Suspect Caught
From the amount of street stabbings in the UK that one reads about, it could be said to be part of British culture.

Exploration of the Virgin Birth That Maybe Wasn’t
When one believes something it is admitting one doesn't know, you don't believe you are aware, you know it. As for being demeaned nobody can do that, one can only demean oneself. Criticism is merely the opinion of someone about oneself or ones own opinions. All religious beliefs are opinions and therefore open to criticism, indeed many scientific theories have an unproven basis on which the theory is based, quantum mechanics for example, the equations work but nobody really knows why, as Professor Feynman put it, " If you think you understand quantum mechanics then you haven't understood it". My opinion is that all religions have a kern of truth packaged in myths and distortions pointing to a truth that the mind can't comprehend, Even Buddhism which is more of a philosophy than a religion (much respected by Einstein by the way) has some ridiculous stories woven into it, people need wonders and miracles for metaphysics and religious leaders keep the opium rolling, it's a nice little earner.

I Think I Might Have Screwed Up
I think every country needs the physical passport. I sent my UK passport off 1 year before its validity ended in July next year, I had to renew my visa extension in December and I knew I wouldn't get a years extension with only 7 months left on my old passport.

Reform UK Surpasses Conservative Party Membership in Landmark Shift
Of course, he is after all a politician, but he makes his gibberish believable because he isn't in power and so needn't do anything practical.

Foreigner Causes Christmas Chaos: Misfires Firework in Pattaya, Sparks Panic
They could have enhanced the description, I'll take a guess, fat, bald, tattooed, drunk and stupid but that could fit any number of falang in Pattaya.

Yes but it's all about immigration, the biggest vote winner in the room that is being ignored by both Labour and Conservatives.

Foreign tourists throwing fists in Patong’s Bangla Road brawl goes viral
They no doubt got into a heated argument about 'Heisenberg's uncertainty principle', that or about some slut at the local bar.

Mother and Daughter Assaulted After Asking Beer-Drinking Men to Quiet Down
The second lady, Mrs 'B', should have remembered that old saying, discretion is the better part of valour, go and help Mrs 'A' to her feet yes but after seeing her get a good smacking perhaps she should have resisted the urge to scold them. Arguing with a drunk Thai, man or woman, is never a good idea, they know that now. No doubt the men are local and will soon regret their violent behaviour.

Nigel Farage Offers to Bridge UK Relations with Trump Administration
A bit of self promotion by soothing the petulant child. It's unfortunate that there is a world wide absence of good, decent, pragmatic politicians, in fact it's downright dangerous.

Started walking for exercise, but.....
I ought to add that I have always been slim, when I was living in Germany I liked German food and beer and although I am of average height I never weighed more than 74 kg, now in Thailand I only eat once a day and drink on average maybe two beers a week this has brought my weight down to 65 kg, I think weight plays a big role in knee health.

Started walking for exercise, but.....
So that's another thing to look forward to.

Started walking for exercise, but.....
I'm 76 and never had any knee problems, the few falang that I have met always start talking about knee problems, it's like a pandemic. Up to my retirement I used to walk a lot, maybe that's what has kept my knees in good order. What I do get is pain in the calf muscles sometimes but continuing to walk makes that go away.

Do you get on well with Thai People?
Yes, extremely well. The first few years not so much but I have adjusted. In Isaan I find the people very friendly, probably because there aren't so many tourists, money has a corrupting influence on the psyche. I go with the flow. I don't believe in organized religions, although I consider Buddhism to be the most logical, so I don't attend the Buddhist services at our village temple but I meditate a lot and have found a secluded place in the temple grounds near some old Stupas where I meditate every day. Despite being secluded my wife tells me the monks and the locals are aware of this and this simple action has earned me enormous respect.
