  1. One has to admire the audacity and professional planning of the elite, Thailand is in safe hands. No bungling Boris or embarrassing Trump here, it is as it is, no explanations needed, the cards have been shuffled the way we want it and we'll be dealing them out shortly.
  2. Thanks, I will use them. I did it all myself last time but it was a hassle as I don't have a credit card and my BBK debit card wont do pounds sterling, in the end I had to get a virtual credit card from Kasikorn, then travel twice to Bangkok with two overnight stays so the fee is well worth it.
  3. What about legal guns? The guest could have been riddled accidentally with an assault rifle switched to automatic in the US despite not being in school.
  4. Considering their amount of debt I would guess it's a third world economy as well
  5. The host has invited him to his new years party as compensation but he wants to celebrate under his bed.
  6. Could be my old washing machine, I was told it would be recycled.
  7. I will be renewing my UK passport next year and am thinking of using Key Visa Co Has anybody here used them and can relate their experience.
  8. Funny but it would have been even funnier if the clothes hat gone missing as well......78 and still stupid.
  9. That is strange because I clean my computer every evening and have never had a problem until now. Something is going on at 'wise'. First I was told on the 28th my money would be in my Thai account in 7 hours, ie. the same day. Later I was told there would be a delay in processing my money and it would take longer. On the 29th they sent me an email saying they were sending the money and it would be in my account on the 30th. Today (30th) I picked up my money from BBK and saw on my bank book they had booked the money into my account on the 28th. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
  10. Oh come now, he's a Politician, you shouldn't raise the ethics bar too high.
  11. I think it's more to do with lack of disposable income. The general cost of living and soaring rents and mortgages not just in the West but everywhere means a local holiday if at all.
  12. The man is no coward, coming back was a high risk game despite deals and friends in high places; just one little cog in the machine has to stop turning and he is stuck in prison, which considering his past life style is far worse for him than an average Thai. He is a politician and businessman, a mover and shaker, not the worst of the bunch in government house but certainly no angel but then what do you expect, the company he kept on his way up are all money grabbing power hungry narcissists, laws don't apply to them, he was a policeman who became the most powerful politician in the land, feted like a king, imagine what that would do to your character.
  13. Euros, Germany to Thailand. Some people did UK transfers in minutes around that time.
  14. Well I finally managed to contact support. They told me for verification I should use Chrome or Edge (I always use Chrome) and if I switch to sometimes using my Android phone that could cause confusion (I never do) so that was all the help I got. I used 'Help' again to ask why some people get their money in seconds and I usually wait 7 hours, I'm not holding my breath....7 hours is better than 3 days which my latest transfer is now taking.
  15. Well I'm at a loss for words, the quickest I have ever had was 7 hours even though Wise received my money immediately. This time around it's going to take 3 days, transferred on the 28th and will get my money on the 30th according to the Wise email, with apologies that it took so long to process, (what's to process?)
  16. No VPN but although I still use windows 7 (blush blush) they describe my computer (the suspicious computer that is trying to login ie. me) as windows 10 which I have never had. when windows 10 came out my sister got it and hated it and wished she had never changed from 7 so I just kept mine.
  17. no ad-blocker and I clear the cache every evening
  18. Yes, but it isn't for 'you', there is no 'you', Fred is a temporary manifestation and Fred most certainly dies, what remains is 'the one', the absolute.
  19. He has money so no matter which side of the political spectrum he sits he remains 'one of their own', It could happen to anyone of 'them' one day so they have to present a united front, Thaksin will soon be free.
