I forgot to mention that the VietJet fare I found was on the AirAsia page!!

My wife and I are planning a trip to Krabi next week. Last night I looked up AirFares with Air Asia for a RETURN fare from Chiang Mai to Krabi. for two passengers The fare out from Chiang Mai was showing at B13,000 and the homeward fare at B4,900. Nearly B18000 I thought, too much and somehow a little lop-sided! I remember from other experiences with AirAsia within Thailand that it is sometimes better to book two singles; one outward and one single back When I went to the site this morning the single fare was showing B10,000 each way. So I consulted with my wife and we agreed we would try to book one single from the Thai page and and from the English page at the same time. I was able to find a fare with VietJet, CM to Krabi including a stop that wasn't too bad to bear for B5,400 for the two of us and she was able to find an Air Asia fare for B4,500 non-stop back to CM for five days later. Total return fares for two just on B10,000 Outcome is that we are booked and confirmed. From Krabi probably to Koh Lanta - not booked there yet! Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!

Instead of you giving the impression of having a high IQ it would be appropriate if you demonstrated more modesty! Also avoid double negatives ("I don't get no" means you DO)

Thank goodness there are many places in Thailand that are not Phuket! And as an aside, where in the world is there not a problem with traffic?

My sister, living in Greece wants to send me a personal gift of money. At first she asked me if she could send me a cheque, that I guess would be in GBP or EUROS but I think that simply won't work. She doesn't have a PayPal or Wise Account and I have advised her not to use Moneygram or Western Union as the amount ( I am not sure how much) is likely to involve plenty of expense. My first suggestion to her is to contact her bank in UK or in Greece to tell them what she wants to do and if they can handle it! I know there are Members here that send money from their respective countries to Thailand from time to time so I appeal to them to offer the best way they believe is successful. I also say he should be locked up now - nothing to do with what Biden had said or done! Trump. among other serious issues is a convicted criminal and fraudster. Sentencing has been delayed until after the election. Whether he is elected or not Trump is in his own self-made mire and will have plenty of time to repent at leisure and to stew in his own juice in CLINK! This topic has some comments suggesting the Poster sells and accept a loss but in order to sell a property that he now knows to be under a new flight path of a major International Airport, he might feel the need to conceal that fact from potential buyers that was denied him! I will bet no street Vendors anywhere will ever pay tax - nobody keeps records they will divulge to the Tax office. Any customer ever got a receipt for anything?? Same goes for most businesses in the markets - very little accountability - and not just in Bangkok! The only accounting going on is counting the takings! The Tax department need some sort of accounts to show outgoings and income! Street food can be encouraged with proper management by the Authorities to ensure quality hygiene practices, enforced by regular inspections. Will corruption hamper theses ideals? Sorry to say, I think so! I think many street vendors make a pile and have got away with little overheads that restaurants have for example! About time time they were reined in and started paying their dues. By the way, I like Street food!

Quite right!! I wonder how these people would react when something was actually important enough! I have my moments of mild irritations every day, they go away and I forget all about it - no fuss, no bother and no need for whinging on this forum!
