  1. Question is easy! Only in the minds of the gullible! Non-existent!
  2. I had a g/f who called an ice cream sandwich a "snake" .
  3. The Abbot speculated... What nonsense - so much for the "wisdom" of Buddhism!!
  4. This is what I call a songthaew! My Thai wife calls it a tuk tuk The photo in the Article is also called a songthaew - Seems to depend on where you live. Might just as well call a spade a spade - or a shovel! And the nerve to call them any of them "taxis" is laughable!
  5. An irony here is that all Drivers on the road are pedestrians when they NOT driving!
  6. Bar girls don't need energy - they just lie down, close their eyes and think of their King and Thailand!
  7. Interesting story that after only 6 months he has made that much and saved it, as well as buying new stock and normal daily living expenses. About a year ago, I decided I would keep all new Rubber B20's I received in change and put them away, Last week (I don't go looking for them), I counted them and had B4,300. I didn't miss the money; that now gives me a feeling of having about B4,300 more than I thought.
  8. Did he really need a written script to say that?
  9. I will make a general comment about refunds from anywhere on the Internet. You may have noticed that when you press confirm to pay for something, the money has immediately left your account, been received and confirmation of the order is acknowledged in just over a nanosecond. However justified a refund is, the reverse is a procedure that for reasons due mainly due to a lack of motivation or interest by the Supplier, is hardly process-free and often time-consuming to the point of distraction and frustration.
  10. There is no such thing as a bad or a good place to find a long term relationship.
  11. Most Atheists "do" Christmas but without the religious nonsense!
  12. If someone else spotted it, it would be a leopard
  13. Only at Christmas and only for children before they reach the age of reason And never for that god thing!
  14. And what if a good neighbour leaves and a new (noisy) one arrives?
  15. We here on the forum do not have all the facts over that time period at hand. If you have concerns or suspicions, then some tactful investigation would be in order to satisfy yourself that you are not "thinking too much" Don't try to fix something that isn't broken! Someone who has carried out their part of the contract for three years, paying good rent on time and not smashing the place up; on the face of it seems a good tenant! You DO need to be confident one way or the other that your decision is the best outcome for both Tenant and Landlord! But, as you know, nothing is guaranteed.
  16. I am not biased or proud and nothing is ingrained. The use of Paracetamol is not an appropriate analogy. My original comment remains valid; your lungs as well as anybody else's don't like smoke; I have asserted nothing else! Whether it has some health benefits for some or or not does not alter that fact. You could easily look it up yourself. Fortunately I don't look like anything that you assert. And if I hear from you ever again on this matter, it will be too soon.
  17. Whether right or wrong about alcohol, two wrongs don't make right - this thread is about cannibas and THAT means directly inhaling smoke into the lungs which they don't like; and that is neither my opinion or the medical profession - it is fact! You need weed and I do not - I can summon up my pleasures without smoke.
  18. The POINT is in the comment For your information, the liver can cope with moderate amounts of alcohol. Your cynical remark about living longer has greater merits for me than you are inferring. Carry on doing what you want.
  19. Where will you be? Japan or Thailand? In any event I think there isn't anyone, male or female at your level of perceived genius!
  20. The title seems to suggest that your "High" BP (as in actual hypertension) has gone to hypo-tension and therefore a possible problem. At 110/60 your Blood Pressure is right on normal for the systolic measure (110) but diastolic (60) is on the low side of normal, but not low as in an obvious problem of symptoms that you appear not to be "suffering" I don't really have a Blood Pressure condition but for two or three days one week in February, this year while attending a hospital for a routine check my BP was high so my Clinical Doctor prescribed some medication that was one tablet per day. At that time, he said, if the BP went too low, reduce to a half. After two days it went into normal range and I went to a half tablet and it remained nicely in mid normal range. I decided to reduce from a half to nothing. For the next three months while taking my BP measurements 6 times per day, every day, my BP remained in normal range. Suddenly it went up again for a couple of days so I visited the Doctor again and asked for advice. He told me just take a tablet and then a half when it goes down. I did this and in December (now) having done measures every day day since then, I have taken the sum total of 6 tablets and my BP has flattened out an average of 113/72 over the entire period since February, over the last three months 111/71 I think you could try reducing the dose but confirm with your Doctor first. I am 78 with no health issues.
  21. This topic shouldn't be about different cultures but about safety issues. I don't know about two and half year olds under any circumstances being allowed to "play" with scissors unsupervised. Scissors are not toys for anybody. If the Mother is showing them how to use, even supposing they can even hold them properly, this is OK. Learning by very small children comes from guidance, not ignorance.from parents. From my point of view, it is a bad attitude by the Mother and those who support her position! And don't get me going on helmets and seat belts!! Children WILL wear them or they will NOT travel with me and I am talking in my case about other peoples children, if they are under my responsibility! It is true, some are over fussy, but when its is obvious - it is safety first for me!
