I studied Psychology but completed only half the course I am now qualified as just a Psycho! Actually, I never had a profession, Worked on the Railways for about 15 years from Messenger Boy to Senior Officer 1, that;s 6 promotions involving working in a few places around England, Went into Sales of Office equipment before going to College again, failing there again to complete my course in Anatomy and Physiology. This enabled me to get a much better job that a full qualification as an Occupational Therapist would have provided. 5 years in that helping disabled people learn to drive with hand controls and getting in and out of a car with specialised wheelchairs. Very rewarding job, I enjoyed so much Then for 15 years in my own business in greetings cards, half of which time employing 5 people in England and 8 more in Portugal where I covered the country. In my large Grade 2 listed building I also managed a bed and breakfast business -Yes I was very busy. At the same time my English wife was a Speech Therapist over almost all the time of my working life.

My own system of home cooking relies on plenty of vegetables that I buy often in the market or Supermarkets. When catering for one and maybe the "chore" and time of preparing something for a main course every day. the vegetables are already in a kilo bag from the store and much of how I prepare blanche, bag up in single sized portions and frozen. Only takes 5 minutes from frozen to plate - want more detail, PM me. I also buy fresh chicken, prawns or fish and those go in the freezer until I need them. I am always happy to make my own style of (basmati) rice or potatoes and sometime spaghetti for which I have the appropriate sauces including Indian, though I often make my own and again go in the freezer in bulk - portioned up! In addition, I buy from a Frenchman friend ready-made lasagnes, burritos and taco meals that I simply heat up in the microwave and prepare some of the frozen vegetables to accompany them - quite delicious. That isn't my complete regular diet - I do eat eggs, mushrooms or tinned fish for quick snacks and lunch

Its a shame you could not relate to the old times and memories you had, to share with us Then you were little more than children. It isn't very nice to think now, more about how ugly they are rather than what happened to some of them during the previous 50 years! Now all of you have had a long life - everyone of them and you have changed from how you all looked; what they may have aspired to do; to wonder about the great diversity of you all compared with the similarities of school life!
