  1. Some good news. Trump's billionaire friends will get super rich, then move offshore before the US collapses, and the authoritarian and communist world celebrate. Trump - achieving what communist China and the Soviet Union could not.
  2. Coups are always on the table in Thailand; it is just a question of who will launch a coup d'etat on whose behalf with the aim of achieving what? Considering the current state of the Thai economy and growing discontent in the middle military ranks, the next coup d'etat .....
  3. Maybe Trump wants more time golfing, so he is trying to discourage international leaders from visiting the USA, where he will have to spend time meeting and greeting them.
  4. Would it be easier just to list the names of senior government officials not involved in corruption?
  5. How many are Chinese controlled? How many were established after the 2014 coup?
  6. Is there prostitution in Pattaya? Does Pattaya have an image? Does this article imply that after a police Walking Street check, which found no prostitution, prostitution has now sprung to life in Pattaya? The fact that this crackdown is happening now, must mean it is low season.
  7. Impossible, fake news. Anutin is as honest as, as, as, as, at least General Prawit.
  8. Koh Samui was rather "pristine" 3.5 decades ago when I first visited - it is very far from pristine today. Another over crowded Thai tourist destination.
  9. Probably many more than are reported, considering the growing shortages of medical professionals in the Thai public health care system and the number of health care workers required to work double+ shifts.
  10. Surely the heading could read "Trump’s Golf Tour: Golden Camels, Cybertrucks, and Trillion-Dollar Courtships".
  11. And may I also add, get a second opinion.
  12. One is reluctant to use the word "revolution", but Thailand is moving closer to meeting most of the classic conditions fostering a (violent) revolution ("violent" in brackets considering the large proportion of Thais owning weapons and growing number of violent acts we read about daily in the Thai media).
  13. In other words, control and monitoring of the population's online activity wrapped-up in a nice "your safety" package - just like China over the past few decades, multiple CCTV cameras on every street corner and every few hundred metres to protect the safety of the Chinese people.
  14. So, when the Immigration people get this technology and use it there will be no long-time over-stayers in Thailand?
  15. An addition to the final paragraph - after prison the foreigner should be deported.
  16. Answer - these days, just ignore. Previously engaged in "discussions", but all my evidence, research evidence, scientific data, etc. were ignored as "woke" false propaganda. Cannot argue/reason with zealots.
  17. Poor Don; he knows about the art of the deal; but his knowledge of WWII seems highly distorted and/or inadequate.
  18. Just yesterday I was reading the minutes and the press conference slides from the last Thai central bank meeting on interest rates. On one of the slides, there was a graph on the number of Chinese tourist arrivals in Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan (for memory). Since the beginning of this year, Chinese tourist arrivals are sharply down in Thailand, but up in the other three countries. Clearly, Chinese tourists are still going overseas, but Thailand has lost its attraction.
  19. Does he have a work permit? If not, arrest him and deport him
  20. This is not the first time that China has done this, and it will not be the last.
  21. Defending the indefensible. If a prime minister puts family before country, he/she should resign.
