  1. I'm in London. Its 11 degrees right now. I hate you ????
  2. IMHO a good brand dry dog food has all the nutrients that your dog needs. Its better and more balanced than any wet stuff, as the wet stuff contains water, and a diet of mostly meat would have the same health risks as it would for us humans.
  3. If the builder is good, then it's the higher end of average. For that amount of money in the sticks, you should get the right thickness of concrete with the right ree bar, and the right guage of wiring and good quality electric fittings. Beware of builders who can do it on the cheap. They may be honest and hard working, but the standard of workmanship and materials may not be to the standard required, and you could find yourself with a large snag list 2 or 3 years down the line.
  4. Dogs are very social by nature. They are pack animals with a simple social structure. I remember having the same reservations taking my dog to the beach years ago. The situation was exactly the same. After a few trips, and a few tense moments, my dog was accepted by all. It did help that I took scraps along and distracted them at first.
  5. Germany is on Thailand list of safe countries for double jabbed travellers to enter Thailand with no quarantine. As ubon Joe stated, that in reality nobody knows exactly what the rules will be until Nov 1, but it looks likely that 1 night in bkk might be required for pcr test result confirmation. My advice would be wait until Nov 1 before booking.
  6. 70% of travellers using Doha airport are in transit. You have a pcr test result that allows you to leave Thailand. That's enough. A temperature check will be the only thing you'll have to do.
  7. Seen it many times, but I'm surprised that it only received 17k likes ????
  8. I believe that anyone is welcome to be vaccinated in the UK, regardless of nationality. You can just turn up at a vaccination center and get jabbed.
  9. You could take the word "Thai" out of that question, and the answers would all be the same. Many, including myself have had failed relationships in our home countries, and found love in Thailand. My relationship with my Thai wife isn't perfect, just like I'm not perfect, but she's the best woman I've ever had, and that's why I married her. As for the time machine thing, If I could go back, I just wish I knew her before all the others, then I'd be a lot better off ????
  10. Nobody wins the league in September ????
  11. I read a very interesting thread on this site about a year ago, written by a guy whose job was to assemble, or maintain the production lines around the world. He stated, if my memory serves me well, that the MG design, and build quality, was exactly the same as the cars that roll off the lines of general motors factories in the US and Europe. Though I found his posts to be very informative, I have to say, it wasn't enough to turn my head from my Toyota hilux.
  12. Do you have cats? Ive seen something similar before. A mite that infests soft furniture frequented by cats. I believe it's a scabies mite.
  13. Here's my 2 bobs worth. You have to put her in the local family court where her I'd card adress is, And apply for paternal rights, pending a dna test. After said test, you can seek advice according to the result. If negative, with all your evidence, you have a good case. She will get 2 years prison, or be forced to negotiate a settlement. If you're the father, you may have to consider if you want to negotiate full custody.
  14. At least he never shot her dead like the guy in HH. You see ladies..... There's some good ones out there
  15. No. They pull them out by hand. The weed killers that they use kills the grass too.
  16. A lead acid battery doesn't perform very well at under 50% capacity, so though it might t have needed urgently replacing, it still could have been the right advice from cockpit,.
  17. Nice heartwarming story. I lived on samui for four years from 2010 and would never take a taxi. The drivers would sit in a gang all day, drinking lao kao , and if a tourist asked for a taxi, they would quote an astronomical price. Hopefully the pandemic has seen them find other, for want of a better word, work.
  18. Reading all the comments on this thread, one point that nobody has highlighted is that although Thai vaccines aren't yet recognised in EU, data suggests that they are affective against serious illness and death...... For me, That comes high on the list compared to freedom to travel.
  19. As above is for sure the best way to go, but be prepared for a bit of traffic when joining the 35. If you want it all your own way, travel on Sunday morning
