  1. Who is in fear? It's just information for the public. The only people who keep trying to push any fear on others are people like you. Fear that there is some sort of agenda by the always vague "They".
  2. I've been in what might be the smallest 7/11. There were three staff, one behind the counter and two checking stock. That left just enough room for three customers. I had to wait for one of the customers to leave before I could enter. Located on the grounds of Siriraj public hospital.
  3. I don't use Facebook. Hundreds of businesses in Thailand rely on it though. I thought the thousands of Thais glued to their phones were using LINE? Or is that only when there is a negative topic about LINE?
  4. Reading the posts it is clear that most people on here have practically no understanding of Facebook. All they can do is trot out the usual negative aspects that exist with all social media.
  5. So you want to sit back and view your accomplishments without having to do any of the work involved in the process? Plant jackfruit trees and pay someone to keep everything tidy till the jackfruit provide enough cover to keep the grass and weeds down.
  6. My last Aliexpress order was placed on 03 Aug and delivered on 16 Aug which is not too bad. Aliexpress standard shipping. I usually use Lazada but items were not avaliable on there.
  7. Her and her friends realise she is taking the pi$$, your ego makes you think you are some sort of big man.
  8. A UK driving licence is not valid if the address on it is incorrect. If you are not a resident of UK your UK licence is no longer valid.

  10. Try what I did a few weeks ago at a different dual price location. My son booked the tickets online using his Thai ID and selected two adults, me being one and him the other. At the entrance the two barcodes for the tickets on his phone were scanned and we both got in for the Thai price.
  11. What are you on about? Only discussing the death penalty for foreigners. The Thai lady accused of poisoning numerous people with cyanide a few months ago is also facing the death penalty. While the death penalty remains an option for certain crimes anyone committing those crimes will be facing a possible death penalty if they get convicted.
  12. How about a DIY channel. This young lady has 1.2 million views.
  13. I remember the outrage at the time when women started insisting they be addressed as Ms as they were tired of being categorized as single or married by the use of Miss,Mrs. I imagine the outrage would have been even greater had social media existed then as it does today. Now no one bats an eyelid and it is considered perfectly normal.

    Kayak fishing

This bloke on YouTube does a fair bit of kayak fishing.
  15. I've seen it all now, buying your steak in 4 interest free payments.
  16. I used to do that but now I just buy a new carb for 130 baht and throw the old ones away.
  17. I know you don't need sugar or fat to make bread. That is why my last sentence stated that I only use flour, water, yeast and salt. I have never used a bread maker but I keep seeing sugar and fat in the bread recipes for them. I assume it is because people expect the bread to be ready two hours after they start and that can only be achieved using sugar.
  18. It tastes like cake because your recipe is similar to a cake recipe. It seems with bread makers you have no choice other than adding sugar and fat. I suggest you give it a go with 4/5 teaspoons of sugar. For hand made bread I only use flour, water, yeast and salt.
  19. I had a lower abdomen MRI with contrast two weeks ago at Siriraj government hospital for 15,000 baht. Takes about an hour.
  20. Haven't heard back yet but it is my understanding that to get granted probate in the IOM you first need probate granted in the UK. I am hoping to only require one will for a UK based solicitor and for that solicitor to get probate in all jurisdictions and gather the funds for the estate. Once gathered they can deal with the taxman and distribute the funds to the beneficiaries.
  21. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems. I am British and have just started looking into this. My offshore bank says I will require probate granted in their jurisdiction before releasing any funds. However as I am British and am technically domiciled in the UK even though I live in Thailand I will also require probate in the UK as far as I can tell. The UK taxman will almost certainly need to be involved. I will be contacting a UK solicitor today that deals with multi jurisdictional probate requirements and will be happy to post their general advice should they offer any.
  22. Take a stroll along Ying Pao road, LP Steak and Pizza has a brick pizza oven. Several other restaurants and a few bars on that road as well. The bars are more Thai style than tourist beer bars.
