Are Older Men in Thailand Trading Love for Financial Ruin
BritManToo replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
My pals are all fully funded, I don't mix with guys that need to work or scrabble around for money. Lying and cheating just doesn't enter into the equation. -

I sent mine to high school and then university. Wasn't even expensive. -
Don't know about the op but I'm using it to compensate the pain in my finger joints caused by arthritis. 0.5g smoked just before bed replaced 8x paracetamol taken throughout the day. Oddly enough, not only did it completely stop the joint pain, but after two months use the swollen joints completely recovered and are now normal again. I also sleep better! I find the smoking the high THC, 70%+ Indica hybrid flower the best for my use. Critical Orange Punch, Tropical Punch, Biscotti all work perfectly. 10-20bht/gram at the usual LINE shops.

Never mix with your ex. Never flash your cash. You were silly, and you've been taught a lesson, forget it and move on.- 102 replies

Come TEOTWAWKI, a bullet is probably how you would buy a car, assuming the fuel was still available to make your bullet worth using.

Expat By Choice - But Why Are You Here?
BritManToo replied to RethairedJarhead's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It was a retirement job to get me out of the house a few days a week. 2 days a week, 30 weeks a year and my NI paid, and a government guaranteed income of 15k pounds a year with no deductions. -
British Man Found Shirtless and Agitated on Pattaya Roadside
BritManToo replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
That's a bit harsh, the guy might have had a stroke/heart attack/heatstroke or some other medical emergency while out jogging. There's no indication of any criminal activity taking place. -
Expat By Choice - But Why Are You Here?
BritManToo replied to RethairedJarhead's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I fully agree, although at nearly 70 I'm more interested in smoking 'grass' than grabbing 'arse'. I'm an expat by accident, came here during nasty divorce just to get away, saw no reason to return. 15 years later and it's been great. -

I can only assume you aren't qualified to teach in the UK. When I was back in the UK 2009, working 'supply', I was paid 130GBP (+NI) for every day I worked in high school. And I could have worked every weekday if I had wanted. -

It's actually just another rumour, there is no requirement for foreign retirees to file Thai tax returns. -

It's all rumour, misinformation and scaremongering, so no thanks from me. -
Yes, servants wages in the west have gone through the roof, but we don't really need them anymore.

Almost every white guy I know is in a mixed race relationship. I now view it as entirely normal, if not preferable to the white Brit women I left behind. All my white female relatives (back in the UK) seem to be off their heads with inflated ideas of their own importance, entitlement and worth, I don't even bother with communication any more.

Thailand’s Medical Insurance Rules Confuse Tourists
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well my government minimum m/c insurance paid 13,500bht for 5 broken ribs, broken collarbone, collapsed lung, and a months physiotherapy for treatment at my local government hospital over a period of 4 months. And I would be tier 3 by your reckoning. Broken arm I'd expect to be around 2,000-3,000bht as it's outpatient completed in an hour or two. -

Best to buy on a mortgage in her name, minimum deposited, maximum term. Then she still needs you to make the repayments. -

Does Mexican count as 'farang food'? If so La Casita in Ratvithi Road is well worth a visit. Three tacos and a soft drink for around 250bht, includes free chips and dips, more than I can eat. Beware the spicy pork taco, you'll need a bottle of water to douse the fire. I usually order 1 pork, 1 chicken and 1 chorizo pork. There's also Creole Gumbo for the more adventurous! -

Avoid the Canadian bacon (aka gammon), dry as dirt. American breakfast with bacon is good but expensive, 290bht but includes 1 coffee mug refill. Clam chowder in bread bowl for the adventurous 180bht. Went there when Auf De Au was closed, German buffet for 260bht, well worth the cost, includes coffee. Thick sliced ham, meatballs, fried fish and assorted breads all good.
