  1. He didn't file a report. Him and his friends ....... No women were involved in this incident, it was all men!
  2. Sign says Mitsubishi Electric, so that's an EV factory shut down.
  3. No, some girls in the 'gentlemen's clubs' use rooms over the club, 4-8x a day.
  4. Most of those have 12v (x4) lead acid batteries, which may not be included in the price. Some of my neighbours wives have them, but I don't think the range is far. Not sure I would want one of those.
  5. I just purchased a Trinx ebike conversion from Bangkok, 34000bht, 500w motor, 15ah battery. Running costs are 1bht for 25km with me not making much effort (range 50km) or 0.5bht for 25km if I pedal as normal (range 150km) with assist for hills. It allows me to keep up with my cycling pals, which I could no longer do after last year's hit and run.
  6. Yep, I agree, never had any problems with her family, 15 years now.
  7. If you've been married 2 years, or 1 year with a baby, just apply for Thai citizenship. Joint income of 15kbht/month required.
  8. Voluntary Nic payments from the old pension system years (before 2016) often make no increase to pensions paid out under the new pension system. That's why you have to ask them.
  9. Having candidates worthy of office would be a good start.
  10. Photo 3, the girl in the little black dress is back!
  11. I thought the girl on the sofa wearing the little black dress looked quite attractive.
  12. Don't forget all the traffic accidents, crazy drivers, bus crashes, hit and runs, etc. This is not a safe place for families!
  13. Most of them look like well groomed show animals. A bit skinny, but all Asian cows look like that to me.
  14. Up the 11% hill, Strava awarded me a 2nd fastest in the world award. Was quite surprised as all Durian riders vegans used to go up that hill.
  15. Went out again today, Wat Doi Tairn, 25Km round trip in 1hr, including a 1Km run up a 11% hill at 15Km/hr, my normal speed up that hill being 5Km/hr. Strava says my average power was 250w, which is almost bang on, I normally average 100w, and assist 1 provides 140w from the motor. I did use a little extra throttle up the 11% hill. It's amazing my usual cruising speed has risen from 15Km/hr to 25Km/hr with a tiny bit less effort from me. And I'm no longer gasping for breath and soaked in sweat at the end of the 25km trip.
  16. I cycle past around 100 cows every morning. All out in fields in small groups, not the big herds we are used to in our home countries.
  17. Not sure I'd be able to remember all the 81 organisations I'm prohibited from supporting. Social media is a dangerous place, it can get you sacked and now jailed. These are starting to look like 'thought crimes'.
  18. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Maybe we should just all try and be nice to everyone.
  19. Yes it did, pushed the tire off the rim, ballooned out then bang. The tires are a bit odd, soft, fat and floppy. Took more care with the next tube, bit of air, rotate tire, squeezing all around, then repeat. As the shop had already ridden the bike before shipping, I assumed the tire and tube were all seated. I didn't allow for the floppy tires which could be effortlessly pulled off with one hand.
  20. Yep, always, although I only want 20-25 kph as my normal speed, and a little extra muscle up the 1 in 10 hills.
  21. I've gone rear hub geared motor, no extra strain on the chain, derailleur or crank, it has its own internal gearing.
  22. Brit men too, I ditched 4 kids in the UK when I moved to Thailand, haven't communicated with them in 15 years. All you other guys having 2x phone calls a year from your kids back in the home countries are so much better fathers than I ever was.
  23. Trinx 29er M1000pro + 500w rear hub motor, 15ah 48v battery, 34,000bht. Wanted a better bike, but Trinx was all they had in 19" frame, and I'm tired of frames that are too small for me. It's actually better than I expected, frame is almost too large (I'm 182cm) for me. 10 gears, hydraulic brakes, big tires. Some assembly required as I live in Chiang Mai and shop is in Bangkok. Front wheel, handlebars, pedals, pump up tires. Disaster, pumping up rear tire and rear tube exploded, hardest job in my life fitting rear 29" inner tube, nothing comes apart easily, nothing goes together after, took 2hrs. I was lucky Decathlon had a 29" x 1.9/2.5 tube ( just the one). Don't know why it exploded as under 30psi, pinched tube, faulty tube? .b Bit nervous on my first trip out (thinking exploding tube). Did 20km at 25km/HR using assist level 1 (140w) and a bit of throttle going up the steeper hills. Almost too much power, wish I could turn assist 1 down to 80w. Hard to ride slower than that, top speed 50km/h
  24. I've changed to using Dairy Rich milk powder from NZ. Works out at around 50bht/2ltr and I can't really tell the difference. Added bonus, I don't have to keep going to the shops for milk. 220bht for 1KG at YoK, I pour 620gm of water in a jug, and make up to 700gm with milk powder.
