  1. The Internet country code top-level domain .io is nominally assigned to the British Indian Ocean Territory. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.io?wprov=sfla1
  2. I wouldn't pay much attention to stories of this kind on Facebook.
  3. I agree with Rob Bowder. You are the ideal candidate for visa-exempt entries.
  4. That's the first time I hear about a Thai immigration official asking for the TM.30 upon entry into Thailand.
  5. Regarding the TM.30, ask the hotel where you are staying for a copy of immigration's receipt of the hotel's notification of your arrival.
  6. Lake Si? Where is that? Google Maps does not know it.
  7. The anwer is tha it depends on what the district office (amphoe) requires, as another poster already mentioned.
  8. If you have read somewhere that "Thailand recognise the Karen state", it means that Thailand recognises, ie acknowledges, the fact that the government of Myanmar has given a region in Myanmar the name Kayin State, formerly known as Karen State. It is analogues to recognising that Florida is part of the USA or that Wales is part of the UK.
  9. Is the standard procedure to get the form KR.22 from the local district office? https://aseannow.com/topic/979962-kr2-kr3-or-kr22/
  10. Removed some off-topic posts and replies.
  11. In that case, with the Thai text also using the English term non immigrant quota, this is exactly what the customs office means. I have never heard of a non immigrant quota or a non-immigrant quota.
  12. No. Read the original Thai text of whatever you are talking about. It may a case of a translation error.
  13. There is an annual quota for immigrant visas: 100 for big counties, 50 for small countries. There in no quota for non-quota immigrant visas, as far as I know.
  14. There is no quota on non-immigrant visas.
  15. I don't think there is such a thing as "licenced visa agents" in Thailand. There was this recent topic on this forum: https://aseannow.com/topic/1348282-do-you-need-a-lawyer-top-5-lawyers-in-thailand/
  16. Because their computers are not programmed for it. It is e-government Thai style.
  17. Immigration does not routinely collect information from the airlines. I suspect than when the TM.6 requirement for air passengers was abolished, someone forgot to delete the requirement for immigration officials at the airports to input the flight number on their computer screen, hence the I/O's request for the boarding pass.
  18. They would have no reaction at all.
  19. I would reply: "I am currently not employed and have no employment certificate. I will travel to Thailand for the purpose of tourism and will not seek employment in Thailand"
  20. Generally, the eVisa fee is paid online with a credit card at the end of the online application process. With Laos and other Southeast Asian countries recently added to the eVisa process, cash payment is required until the Ministry of Foreign Affairs finalises arrangements with Kasikorn Bank for online credit card payments.
  21. Dealing with officialdom, standing one's ground in a polite but firm manner can sometimes gain oneself some respect from the officials involved. I am pleased to see that you had this positive experience.
