Not tried this but when paying on internet, don't they also ask for name on card besides card number and CVV? The KBank ATM card does not have my name on it?

Thanks I just noticed that! I think my old ATM card didn't have this and I was using KBank online virtual debit card, but they seem to have stopped virtual cards, mine runs out next month and no option to make a new one so I guess the new form ATM card fills this gap but costs 200THB/yr?

I haven't tried Bolt before. Just installed app it looks easier than Grab. Are the prices it quotes fixed? What happens if traffic is jammed and takes longer?

I was wondering what's the benefit of keeping a 200THB/yr debit card if we can use card-less? Would a card only be of use when traveling overseas? Also last time I tried card-less ATM in another Thai province to my bank, there was no inter-provincial extra charge like I used to get with the card.

You don't need any online booking to go to Bangkok DLC. I was in and out within 1hr 30m doing just walk in earlier this month. It might have been faster still if they had a few more working at the card machines, they have 8 only one was worked.

Just looked at my old UK pp from the early 1980's with the hard blue cover before we had EU style passports and they had English and French in them as well.

You don't have to do anything. Just ask the person to send you a notification of when it's done and then check your balance.

Last time I checked KBank has many different types of credit card each with their own T&C. I have had one of them for over a year and found they do pretty much what it says on the tin. Like yours I have to make a minimum 12 purchases per credit card year or face an annual fee. The payments can be for anything (even under 20THB), but must be at least 12 times.

You mean on a dedicated account for immigration with only interest payments for whole year the bank book rolls all this into one if updating the book once a year?

Yes, but it will be more than two lines. There will be two entries for interest every six months, two more for WHT every six months (unless you can avoid it somehow) and on the day you extend you are supposed to make a small deposit and maybe withdrawal in the account as well?

I tried this with KBank at CW, showed them my color prints of 12 months statements I made from online app, and was told the bank would not sign any of that. Only a statement made by them can be signed. Makes sense (if I think like a Thai) as its an extra 200THB service fee for them and no chance of a falsified online statement from me to be checked in detail. I have since got a dedicated savings account for Immigration so will just use bank book copies in future approved with bank letter, with no need for statements.

When I went to CW last year with my own printed out one year bank statement I was told its not accepted. Must be from the bank teller and costs 200THB inc their signature and rubber stamps. I use KBank and the bank gives a one year statement on the spot, not waiting 3-4 days palaver.
