  1. Lol. I just caught on. The difference for me is, in Australia there's always a breeze. In the village there isn't a breath of fresh air. Being a fridgy by trade I could probably rattle on about entropy and enthalpy, but I can't be bothered.
  2. Your can't practice for the heat in Australia. I'm Australian, and every time I step off a plane in Thailand I melt, and wanna go back to Australia. My wife is Thai, and every time she steps off a plane in Australia she melts, and wants to go back to Thailand. Just go to Australia and acclimatise.
  3. Yeah I saw that, hence my post in case I was missing something. Some prices have tripled since COVID. Insane.
  4. That's a great price. Thanx.
  5. Yeah I'm hearing you. Accommodation......whoa....
  6. We actually went with your suggestion and booked in the front row of a couple of Scoot flights, Bangkok to Singapore to Sydney. Price and timing being the main criteria. I just can't travel at night any more. It'll be purely day flights. The price seems (cough, cough) alright. Thanx again. And now to look at accommodation, just the thought scares me. Airbnb for 3 nights looks the go.
  7. Thanks. I didn't think of Jetstar. We just want some time in Singapore so the boy can let off steam. It actually might be cheaper and more convenient to just do Singapore as a side trip from Bangkok, then go to Aust directly on Thai Air. Still looking, thanx for the suggestions....
  8. We're heading back to Australia via Singapore. Normally we (wife, teenager and myself) fly squashed into cargo class on the budget red-eye overnighter via whatever comes cheapest, normally KL or Manila, or both.... This time we'd like to have a stop in Singapore and continue on after a few days on a day flight with a touch of luxury. Can anyone recommend an airline that does Singapore to Australia (prefer Brisbane or Sydney) in relative comfort that doesn't cost both arms and legs? I see Scoot offer "business class" for a pretty good price, and Singapore Airlines offer Premium Economy for about AU$7000 one way for 3. 😧 Or do we just stick to the red-eyes?
  9. I'm surprised that piano chap didn't get punched. I'm on the side of the Chinese on this one. They asked him politely and respectfully not to film them, so he shoved the camera further into their faces, now he's playing the victim card. Nothing to do with being Chinese.
  10. Ask a potential refrigeration mechanic about Archimedes principal, Boyles law, Charles's law and Dalton's law. If they can answer correctly, they are either a refrigeration mechanic or a scuba diver.
  11. Maybe we just can't be bothered.
  12. The little piece next door was a proper pain in the ears with her 5 am screeching into her karaoke machine her parents bought her for the first 10 years of her life. Now she's a local singer in demand. Ok, I'll forgive her.
  13. Why does God have such a really big nose?
  14. How the hell did a Thai forum come to this?
  15. You spelt "stroll" wrong.
  16. What's so troll about asking for a photo of god without a beard? At least I left her sandals alone.
  17. Show me a photo of god without a beard.

Ok. I'll go back to the pub where I belong.

    CPAP

I started it about 6 months ago. I think I was hoodwinked by the CPAP mob. Anyway, too late now.

    CPAP

Does anyone do CPAP therapy? I thought I posted this before, but I can't find it.
  21. Why does God have a beard?
  22. Yeah I've tried a couple of versions. Sitting upright on a comfortable chair with my bare feet on the floor and my hands on my lap, listening to a cassette I've had for 40 years through headphones. There's no mantras or oceans or birds. Just sort of weird sounds. Works for me. Doesn't mean it'll work for anyone else, but that's up to them.
  23. It was on topic, and I removed my like from your original post.
  24. I'd go back to the day I met my first wife, then run for the hills.
